Especially white people as they cannot even stand in solidarity as fellow minorities. This is rarely ever addressed. The discussion behind ‘All Lives Matter’ fails to frame things within the context of unjust law enforcement. Like when Rudy Giuliani said, “Black lives matter. White lives matter. Asian lives matter. Hispanic lives matter,” The reasoning here is valid, but when said in response to a specific controversy (disproportionate violence against blacks), it misses the mark. It doesn’t acknowledge that police violence against any person of any race is equally wrong. Police violence is a defining factor of racism. But does that mean racism is a defining factor of police violence? I don’t think so. Special powers of aggression and immunity granted by legislators (not natural or common law), income class of suspects/defendants, poor employment screening, horrific training, ticket and arrest quotas, for-profit policing (including cash incentives from the feds to make drug busts - usually marijuana), etc., all have more of an impact on police practices than race in the current justice scheme. How often are unarmed white people beaten or killed by cops? How often is the underlying ‘reasonable suspicion’ marijuana possession? Far more than one might think. But these stories are barely covered in the media and there is little to no outrage coming from the community about them. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79024698 Actually, I can’t understand why cops aren’t too busy hunting ritual killers and pedophiles to be tempted into participating in violence they see while patrolling the hood in search of petty drug infractions for cash payouts from the feds. |

I call for these groups to hash it out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21096826 District court judges stand between political law enforcement and natural rights via common law. Who is there to stand witness upon every unjust allegation when it comes before the magistrate or court of arraignment? The courts are empty despite plentiful seating. Everyone who 'cares' is too busy taking a knee for pics they can post to social media. |

This is why, unlike firefighters and paramedics, cops are political agents. Quoting: Bee Free Police officers take an oath to uphold constitutional rights and legislative law. But this is contradictory. Political legislators make utilitarian policy which overrides individual rights. The constitution is not a consequentialist document. We the people collectively decide on moral and legal norms. Not politicians. They just hijack the process. To be a police officer, one must pledge to raid, search, cage, fine, and seize the private property of citizens for a lengthy list of crimes that aren’t actually crimes in any moral or constitutional sense. This is why policing is inherently unjust (in the current system) regardless of the officer’s individual character. Also why ‘good cops’ tend to be rogue outlaws who are willing to go against the unjust orders of their corrupt superiors in order to do what they know is morally and constitutionally right. |
