Blacks demanding attention has taken away from the fight against modern slavery

Blacks in America were enslaved until around 1860. No one is denying that. Americans fought and died to give them their freedom and the right to be full citizens with all that entails. Many Americans sacrificed their lives to give them those rights because until then, most blacks in America were slaves.

However, slavery still exits today, in 2020, even in America.

The demographic is different now. It's almost exclusively female, often young, and usually pale.

They are trafficked in from South America or taken domestically.

Primarily, they are used in the sex trade.

This is all in the rather ignored modern statistics.

Getting recognized as a slave for them is not easy, because of the continued outdated concept that only blacks can be slaves. They end up silenced in deference to blacks.

They often live and die short lives without ever getting out, because the distant family of slaves from a previous generation still want the spotlight.

You would think the black people would be more supportive of the modern slaves, since they once experienced it themselves, but I have rarely found that to be the case.

In fact, they generally bury us. And yes, I say us. I'm one of the few lucky enough to make it to my forties and have made enough connections and found enough energy in me to crawl myself out. I'm a rarity. Most don't make it this far to tell you their story. Even less of us are heard.

Here is one single moment in my life that pretty much summed up the barrier they put up that kept me working for someone else for free and living under their control without a route of escape because of the fake narrative that blacks are the only possible slaves:

I was around thirteen years old. I had been groomed to do what I was told and go where I was told to and do what I was told to. The woman who had purchased me from traffickers when I was 4 would find any paying opportunity and enroll me, and she would keep the money.

Often, especially when I was too young to work legally, these were paid medical research opportunities, such as testing medical equipment, new drugs, new eye drops, etc.

Anyone could enroll, but most people wouldn't unless they really needed the money.

So, when she sent me to a trial that day in a bad neighborhood, I was the only "white" (a pale Hispanic with a white accent = white, always) person in the room. Everyone else was black and poor. The vast majority were crackheads who were going to use the $100 to pay their bills or get another crack rock.

I wasn't going to see any of the money. I was just there to be in the trial. The person who owned me, and yes, she owned me, would be getting the cash.

The black crackheads looked at me, all thirty of them. They asked me why I was there. They told me a white girl shouldn't be there because we white girls had nice mansions, and safe families, and that I needed to go home to those two things and get out of the scary clinic.

I was standing there, right in front of them, not knowing about the money (we talked about that too), not getting the money, and yet used in paid medical research, and they couldn't put the pieces together or did not want to.

A slave stood in the same room as them.

And despite their being such experts on slavery, they could not recognize it because I didn't have the skin color they wanted me to have.

Whites were no better. They thought I was just a Hispanic adoptee who was getting a "better life" by being in a white person's home. Eventually, they too began to think I was white with "a little something exotic."

Neither group cared that I was being used. Neither group cared that I was making that woman thousands of dollars a month while the teeth rotted out of my head.

Because, to America, thanks to all of the endless whining, and despite documented reality, the only slaves are black, so fuck the rest of us. Let us die.

It's so ingrained, so bad, that I ended up on a conspiracy site because both sides keep their eyes so tightly shut that to me it had become one. And it was the only place I ever thought someone might believe me.
