Read this for real science - the researchers studied four years of GIM-TEC and found zero correlation with earthquakes: A statistical study of global ionospheric map total electron content changes prior to occurrences of M ≥ 6.0 earthquakes during 2000-2014: GIM-TEC and earthquakes There are many reports on the occurrence of anomalous changes in the ionosphere prior to large earthquakes. However, whether or not these changes are reliable precursors that could be useful for earthquake prediction is controversial within the scientific community. To test a possible statistical relationship between ionospheric disturbances and earthquakes, we compare changes in the total electron content (TEC) of the ionosphere with occurrences of M ≥ 6.0 earthquakes globally for 2000–2014. We use TEC data from the global ionosphere map (GIM) and an earthquake list declustered for aftershocks. For each earthquake, we look for anomalous changes in GIM-TEC within 2.5° latitude and 5.0° longitude of the earthquake location (the spatial resolution of GIM-TEC). Our analysis has not found any statistically significant changes in GIM-TEC prior to earthquakes. Thus, we have found no evidence that would suggest that monitoring changes in GIM-TEC might be useful for predicting earthquakes. [link to www.researchgate.net (secure)] |

I don't know where it came from but it is titled 'TEC rate' which is ionospheric total electron content (TEC) rate of change. TEC is a descriptive quantity for electrical activity in the ionosphere which is affected by solar activity, not tectonic forces. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 65126451 I have felt uncommonly irritated for two days, no cause other than the world is whack. My cat keeps looking to get high up on shelves, she does that when earth moves. I'm in NorCal and was thinking earlier what a good mood I was in for no reason, before checking GLP of course that always changes things, but despite that I was way more energetic and buzzed earlier today and noticed it. Thought it was weird. Regardless of 'very moving earths' maybe it's this phenomenon getting picked up. We are all a part of this Earth on a sublime level and although we've lost our inate ability to sense stuff like this like the animals do, we still have vestigal "spider sense" left that are in tune. All the distractions and electromagnetic interference from normal modern life have dulled our ability to connect to these things, but there is still a chance that people can pick it up, subconsciously, then it can affect their consciousness behaviour. See it all the time and people have been blaming the stars and mysterious fields forever with things like "people are acting crazy because Mercury is in Retrograde" or "It's a full moon" etc... |
