It’s not really a race issue, but as long as the police are allowed to kill for little reason, the ‘race issue’ will continue to be propped up, because black citizens are more organized to protest police brutality when it happens to one of them, and using The victim’s race to draw attention to the police brutality issue is one way to fix it, but it’s not been working that well because everyone gets sidetracked thinking about race relations rather than about the police problem.
