If martial law is called, will Americans be given so many hours to get prepared and settled, or is it immediate? Any law types out there I would appreciate your help! :) Thank you!

I have always been told there would be no "oh, you have 24 hours to get where you need to be" like I have seen someone post on GLP in the past. I have always heard if declared, it is IMMEDIATE lockdown. What do you all know or have heard? Fortunately, we have been prepped for this for years. I was just hoping to help others on GLP with a timeline if Martial Law is indeed called. Is it immediate or will people be given time. Personally, I would think it foolish for any grace time to be given as that would defeat the purpose of it. Thanks you all! GLP is so great!
