across the street there was a gathering of HUNDREDS of white retards, who have modified their exhausts to be as loud as possible. this is some kind of THING now, to make your car as loud as possible.

they think they are like all fast and furious, only they are 'drag racing' down some stupid strip where there's about 5 stop lights over 200 yards, like the absolute dumbest place.

and the point is NOT to see who can go the fastest. it's to see which idiot has the LOUDEST most dysfunctional muffler.

imagine the sirens are normally 1780hz

riht now they're 880hz

In the good old days the sirens were omnidirectional and you could tell the location by the Doppler Effect.

The new fire truck in my town sounds very much like a toddler crying!

Then purpose of the siren is to let other drivers know an emergency vehicle is approaching from any direction. The too loud sirens are very distracting and can cause hearing damage.
