I believe, the state laws allow employers to fire folks at will, unless your unionized. Maybe someone with more info will chime in, but we knew his boss could have fired him, any time he wanted too. About 4 weeks earlier I went through training and the District Manager challenged us to have the courage to talk to the Store Manager about behavior outside of company policy. So I did just that and approached her to tell her what he said and about what I had seen over the previous 5 moths about certain leadership behavior. She did not like hearing it at all. Her words and body language suggested I was a threat to her operation. Which I wasn’t.
