Those who have no knowledge of how to hunt, fish, survive outdoors, defend themselves, and are innovative, will die. And, so may the rest of us. I always get a little chuckle out of those wishing for catastrophe. They have no clue. Yep. I have a ton of outdoor survival skills but I'm not sure what good they're going to do me sitting in the middle of a town. I'm in a very rural area. Lots of wildlife, 2 major rivers nearby, and have lived outside of a real house for a year(a long time ago). With that being said, it would be near incomprehensible to look forward to utilizing those skills for the rest of my life. If, or when, things deteriorate to the point that you have described, it will truly be time to get right with the god of your choice. I did a survival training thing back in the day...couple months of winter camping, with a toothache. If it never ended, I assume I'd be dead from the tooth infection about a year or so into that. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies. There's a fine line between training, trauma, and torture. |
