Cleaned the whole house, found out it has two extra rooms in the process and a cat, then cleaned my yard, the neigbours yard, their home, for a small sum i cleaned the whole block and the local Walmart also carryin clients on my back to their home if they dont own a car, helped the city hall to demolish two unused buildings and with those bricks i raised a wall around my district, i spend the nights training the citizens into using bows and soap made explosives, and now we are all prepared and waiting to refuse vaccination.hiding

From the beginning of the "stay at home" crusade, managed to "work at work instead", have no idea how it would be if they succeeded on making myself stay at home, probably would quit.

Re: WORKAHOLICS: How are you holding up with having to stay at home?
Its fucking awful.
I'm an independent trucker... owner/operator.
I work for months at a time with no days off when the freight rates are good.
Now they are in the toilet.
My truck is parked.
Nothing worth hauling.
Supply and Demand.
Freight volumes have dropped drastically.
Shippers and brokers are taking full advantage of "America's hero truckers"... pushing rates that have little or no profit in them at all for the trucker.
Idiots are taking these loads, desperate to have any income to pay loans on their equipment.
I don't see this returning to "normal" anytime soon.
I have a very comfortable savings I can fall back on.
But that won't last forever.
My trailer is paid off, but still owe 80k on the truck.
Truck payments have been delayed 3 months so thats good.
If I don't get a longer delay on payments after this 3 months and rates are still not profitable, i'll be forced to default on the loan.
I'm sure as fuck not going to make payments on the truck if it sits idle.
This is my current situation.... along with millions of other small business owners in this country being fucked over by this globalist/media hoax.

Re: WORKAHOLICS: How are you holding up with having to stay at home?
Working from home. Decided to quit drinking about 2 wks in. In fact went cold turkey because I was like that's what's going to happen when they close the liquor stores anyway, no buzz lasts forever. I'm single and it sucked for several nights 1-5 in all. But now, awesome. I have no cravings because of this rona shit. My skin looks great as well. I'm 48 so maybe it was due already.

I am saving money, lots too. I decided to get a new certification so my focus is laser like on studying. Coming out oof this better than going in.

All those who stayed at home and did nothing that's ok. Don't waste your time too long. It's like when you get unemployed and collect, but you never tidy up the resume or look for a job for 6 months. Been there done that.

I also walk 5-7 miles and a and skip rope daily. Oh did I mention the weight is coming off from no alcohol as well.

I am not going to look like a fat out of shape hungover looking POS when I really have to go back to the office.

All depends on what you do with it. This personal time. I can't imagine if I had some old lady busting my balls tp clean up my act during this time. I did it myself.

LoL, I saw the title and It talked to me. I am writing a list of things to finish up at home and things that I would like to add to my home. Landscaping the backyard is one of them. Fixing the gutters, Getting a fence on one of the sides, building a nice green house, setting up an archery range in the back. etc. I cannot stay still nor put.

I'm working the same as always, but commute time has dropped to zero. Not necessarily a "workaholic" but have been continuously employed (sometimes multiple jobs) all my life except 6 months in 1995 (worst time in my life, hated it, not looking forward to retirement). Which probably qualifies me as a workaholic in the eyes of most Millennials.

The wife constantly around... gets old sometimes. I have a camping trailer I will go hang out in sometimes just to get away, watch TV, play video games, and just chill. So, I have a way to cope.

Other than that, it's going great.

With my business closed, I bought a totaled car around the 1st, almost finished with the rebuild. Body panels all done, new paint is done, just need to wetsand and buff.

Should make about $10k on it.

I don't let anyone steal my time.

I think "workaholics" are incapable of going stircrazy or getting cabin fever. It's a personality trait to always keep busy or be moving forward on this or that project (at home or at work).

There is less traffic, but I think we make are compensating by driving like bigger assholes.

I usually just keep up with traffic, but then I noticed we were all going 60 on 30mph downtown one-ways.

Re: WORKAHOLICS: How are you holding up with having to stay at home?
I finished the first draft of my third book in the trilogy and made a first complete copy yesterday. Today, the editing begins

I am a little lonely--but, I have really loved having the distraction-free time. Even with the time, I can only write so much each day--I just have to be done after an average of 3 hours or so--but---still, being able to do it consistently every day has been wonderful.

I was behind my schedule and I still wish it were done sooner--but at least, it is ready for editing and will not be hanging over my head for even longer!!!!!SmileyGlas
By the way, I am not a workaholic, so perhaps I shouldn't have replied.
However, I always have projects going that are important to me and I exercise almost daily. But, I am on GLP right now so I guess I do let some time slip away!

Re: WORKAHOLICS: How are you holding up with having to stay at home?
I'm a workaholic that I can't work and it's maddening.

I'm an audio/systems engineer for live concerts and tour with A-list artists. I was out on tour when they sent us home. I was headed to South America after a week home. Then back to the US for another leg, followed by Europe all Summer, then back to the US for another leg, ending the year in Asia/Australia/Russia. :(

I don't know what it feels like to be sitting at home and we're being told directly by higher ups that we won't be working again in 2020 and Winter/Spring 2021 also doesn't look good.

Re: WORKAHOLICS: How are you holding up with having to stay at home?
I've worked at home for 12 years, but I am pulling my hair out as the rest of the company is working from home now and they are messing around most of the day instead of working.

Some people just can't work from home and instead think it's a free for all. Guess I should be proud of my ability to stick to my work even though no one can see me but it is little comfort when other asshats are messing around.

Re: WORKAHOLICS: How are you holding up with having to stay at home?
Also to add - I live in CA where the EDD site isn't updated yet so I can't even file for unemployment.

All roadies are 1099 contractors that are made to be self employed (which is shit) so that they don't have to carry us as employees.

My last paycheck was 3/8.

Thankfully I had a couple months of savings to get our family through this but I'm not sure what I'm going to do in the long run. I don't know many jobs that pay 5k a week and I'm court ordered entirely too much in child support. Courts are closed so I can't even file an income change.

Never had a problem paying a single bill until now. This is pretty weird. I've always been a proud man that has supported his family and we live within our means the best that we can having to live in CA.

Nothing's changed except I got an extra contract and have been working two jobs for the last month or so, which is a bit of a bummer.
With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible
