Absolutely, I can say I am not sure and am conflicted! LOL!

I look at it this way - there are good and bad points to opening up. As more information comes out about Covid 19, the more we have to realize that this isn't the kiss of death for the average person. Keeping the economy closed, is. So there really is not a choice here, it there?

Does that mean I am happy that we are throwing grandma and grandpa under the bus? No, I am not. I am very conflicted about that. At the same time I also know that this virus is so contagious that we cannot, as a society, protect grandma and grandpa from catching it if they and everyone else is living their lives. So, that is the first reason why I am not comfortable with the decision we had to make.

The second reason is that there are significant numbers who are negatively impacted by this physically, mostly due to age and co-morbidity. Even when isolating, our numbers have been increasing astronomically in many areas of the state. Habersham County, just south of me, for example, went from nothing to a couple hundred cases and several deaths in just two weeks. As I witnessed yesterday, everyone is now running around, not social distancing, and not wearing masks or gloves, and I fear the numbers are going to skyrocket in the state by the next month. That will overwhelm our medical systems, which have seen some pretty steady business as it is (20% of those tested positive have been hospitalized).

So yes, I am conflicted about being a guinea pig. If it turns out OK, fine. If it doesn't, it's going to be a world of hurt.

Definitely. The stock market is iffy. Remember when Bush was in office and things started to slow down? When it looked like a Democrat might take office, the market crashed. We had a minor setback when the dems did well in mid-term elections. It's back up, close to highs - like 1,000 off Dow, but if it appears a dem will take office in 2020, we will again have a late summer crash in 2020. I can tell you I will not have money in the market at that time.

Once it gets down past your butt it is just gross - kind of like those people with 8 inch fingernails. Few people have thick enough hair for it to be attractive - it becomes straggly and split at the end. If you are lucky enough to have thick enough hair, then you have to deal with the extra weight giving you headaches and neck aches. It is also very time-consuming and difficult to keep clean.
