The cost of running the gas stations these days is higher than it used to be when we had gas under a dollar. Quoting: 3643297 You really didn't think that one through. When gas is high, margins are much slimmer. Gas stations survive on non-gas product that is over 400 percent higher than other stores. Gas is just a convenience at the convenient store. They don't survive off it at all.
