I’m an hvac mechanic in Michigan. I deal with people on the daily. Although I too am thankful to have my job (not only that, but salary and payroll thru pandemic with less than a quarter of average non pandemic hours), they have recommended we wear face mask and gloves on every single service call. Not really mandatory yet I don’t think but the office is telling customers we are wearing ppe and customers are screened over the phone. I don’t like the idea of playing along. Ultimately, I’d rather have the antibodies than the vaccine. I don’t care for the way this is going.

My work just said we have to wear them. I started off with a hell no, and then realized I needed to pick my battles and keep employed as long as I can until they come down with the big one, mandatory vax.

Last night at the grocery, the checkout girl/woman had one on & I could barely understand her.
So you can wear yours & maybe take it off when you have to talk.

I guess we should all stop using our turn signals and stopping at red lights, holding doors, picking nails up off the street that might pop someone else's tire, etc...

It's not about feeling better about one's self.

It's about feeling like you didn't add to the multitude of problems in the world and that you may have been able to help others in the ways that you would hope someone would help you or someone you cared about.
