Last Sunday was terrible.

Now again a week later. It was odd enough not having a large gathering for Easter. Empty churches. Weird vibes. And storms.

Its like The One above is wanting to tell us something.
And at another time, when they raised a question about fortifications, he said that a city is not unfortified whose crowning glory is men and not bricks and stones.

Thanks alot Park!

where is Dixie alley?
 Quoting: Q33

Dixie Alley is basically from East Texas, up to Arkansas, including Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Tornado Alley itself is in the Midwestern states, however, it is not unusual whatsoever for tornadoes to hit the southeastern states.

I swear in the 12 years I've lived in GA we have had a ton more tornadoes than the 20 years I lived in KS. The difference is that GA tends to be F1 and F2 and KS F4 and F5.
 Quoting: GA Girl

Another huge difference is that tornadoes in GA can't be seen coming across the flat land from miles away. Too many woods, hills and buildings. Most of the time, people have very little warning.

Also, severe storms with tornadoes in GA usually happen in the middle of the night. They brew up in the afternoon over Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. By the time they make their way to GA, it's the middle of the night. It's scary stuff for sure. I stayed up last Sunday / Monday until after the storms passed at 4am. I wasn't about to get into a deep sleep not knowing if something wicked was headed my way.
 Quoting: Five-seveN1775

Same here. I'm always afraid I'll be asleep if we get a tornado.

I'm in the Jackson Metro area. Praying for another cap to keep things calmer here like last week. I have a home further south. One of those bad boys was only 20 miles from it.

Prayers for anyone in the path. Keep your eyes and ears open and your weather radios/apps on!
