I'm sorry for your lost. But don't politicalize it. Bill gates is in glee over your covid nonsense You are everything wrong with this society, you piece of shit. I don't pray... Ever. But I very much hope that you and I will meet one day. I would give up a LOT to get to the front of the line of people waiting specifically to be YOUR karma, and I'd bet that line islong. User ID: 77410359 United States 04/14/2020 10:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | With a broken heart I share the news of the passing of my grandfather (papa) due to COVID-19 complications. My family is so devastated right now and we all need some prayers. Quoting: Simple27 Due to the current restrictions, this incredibly wonderful man died without any of us being able to be by his side. That part hits me the hardest. My nanny (grandmother) is shattered. They were together since they were 13 years old. They were just as in love now as they were then. They were the perfect example of true love. Nanny has been sleeping with one of his t-shirts while he has been in the hospital. A little history... Papa started having symptoms on Monday, March 23rd. By Thursday, March 26th the symptoms had gotten bad and my nanny had to call 911. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was admitted and officially tested for the virus. He tested positive. [link to imgur.com (secure)] Nanny had given me papa's online patient portal login information while he was in the hospital which is why I have access to that above screenshot. Friday, March 27th they had to put him on oxygen and by Sunday, March 29th he was on a ventilator. There have been so many ups and downs since the 29th. Even more so in just this past week. But today the doctor said papa's body had stopped fighting and that they were going to take him off the ventilator as there was nothing more they could do for him. He said it wouldn't be long after papa came off the ventilator, and he was correct sadly. Papa passed away within hours. They said they kept him sedated and comfortable. Papa didn't deserve this painful, lonely death. He was 78 years old, mostly healthy. He has a great-grandson being born in July (my sister's baby). I just ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This is so very hard. Even harder because we can't be together during this time. :( I'm so sorry, Simple. ~ The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76367089 That’s one of those unforgettable things you hear. Sounds like he had a great life. I think just to feel close to him somehow since she couldn't be with him. She loves him so much. When my aunt, who was like a grandmother to me, passed away I put a few of her dish towels in a zip lock bag, they smelled just like her house when I would walk in the door and I wanted to save that wonderful smell because it always meant I was safe and loved when I was there I still have my grandmother’s cut glass decanter that she keep her perfume in, she passed away in 1974 and there is about an inch of perfume left but it still smells like heaven to me! Our loved ones may die but we always have them with us I wish I would have thought of that for both my aunt and my mama! I have my Mom’s cologne too and a few of her sweaters bagged up When she first died I would be walking through my house and I would hit a patch of her scent, I could literally walk in and out of it but it would vanished in seconds But at one point there was one area in my house that had her scent for over two weeks, it was in the room where I had put her coffee table that she loves so much, lol her prized MacKenzie -Child’s table Treasure the small reminders! . "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." Marcus Tullius Cicero |

I pray for you, your Nana, your parents, sisters and the children. You are a tight knit family and even though you are there for one another, this is such a difficult time. Anonymous Coward User ID: 74109967 United States 04/14/2020 10:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So a 78 year old dies from something like the flu, let's just shut everything down, have internal passports and be forced to take a vaccine. Sorry for your loss, but people that age die all the time. It may not have even been covid. Doctors are being forced to put covid down as the cause of death for evey older person who dies. I hate to be harsh, but a 78 year old dieing is not reason to throw our Republic away and install a Soviet type tyranny. Sorry for your loss, I am sure he is in a better place now. |

User ID: 72410523 United States 04/14/2020 10:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’m so very sorry for your loss. Thank you for the chance to pray for your Papa. I pray in honor of him tonight. I raise up everything he was to you and yours and impart that Knowledge and Love unto you. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Evan though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Be the change |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78532143 United States 04/14/2020 11:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Where the hell did we get this "keep people isolated in death" bullshit? I really want to know how that's even Constitutional. If they had separated my parents from me like that I'd be dead because I would have tried to go in shooting. HOW THE HELL DOES THE GOVERNMENT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DICTATE SOMEONE SHOULD DIE SEPARATED FROM FAMILY MEMBERS? Protection of the general population you say? I don't care. If it's MY choice to be with a dying loved one then I take that chance. Do what you will with me after that, but do not take that one right away from me! NO NO AND NO. This is UNACCEPTABLE IN A CIVILIZED SOCIETY! And to be clear I am not specifically talking to the OP, I am very sorry for her loss but I am more outraged that her grandparents TILL DEATH DO US PART was violated! |
