She got the HCQS and Z-pak, but condition worsened, got transferred to larger hospital and put on IV antibiotics and bipap. Gradually seems to be doing better, but still on high flow mask. 3 negative CoV19 swabs, but I think probably false negatives---otherwise healthy teenager getting that sick in the face of a pandemic causing same symptoms. My next-door neighbor lost her son-in-law to this yesterday and to make things worse if that is possible, she is in quarantine, her daughter (widow) and their two girls are also quarantined...so there is no one to commiserate with. Each one alone with their thoughts and sadness. I believe he is being cremated today, no last minute goodbye, kiss or hand being held..The only good thing was the kindness of a doctor who using her cell-phone permitted the family to talk to him..though unconscious he could hear...she said..The younger daughter's birthday was yesterday...Sigh... I agree with the statement above...Whoever unleashed this has to be eliminated from the face of the Earth. So awful. That really breaks my heart. This is all just so horrible. :( Papa's body was picked up this morning from the hospital and is currently at the funeral home. Cremation plans are in the works.  ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

She was younger than I ever knew her and she was running and laughing. I never knew her like that, she had a hard life and suffered a lot with arthritis. I've never hugged anyone for so long in my entire life. She is so strong, but she is so very sad. She had a little framed picture of my papa on the couch next to her. Every time she looked at it she started to cry. She told me she's been sleeping with it.  She did keep saying how lucky and thankful she is that she had such a wonderful man in her life for 64 years. They loved each other so much. This just all sucks so badly. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

It did say they could harm you. Also it said and I don't know what date it was written, by the time you get on one, you are going to die. Forgive me for asking questions, but on the news they don't ask the right questions. I did a lot of reading on ventilators too, when papa was put on one. It scared the shit out of me. Every single second for the past 3 weeks I had been in fear of that phone call that I received yesterday. That 4 letter machine you're referring to is the ECMO. He wasn't on one of those machines. They were talking about doing a tracheotomy because those are easier to come off of than the ventilator and won't damage the lungs, but everything went downhill really fast after that conversation and that never happened. Regarding underlying conditions, I had thought that papa had diabetes but I was WRONG. He did not have diabetes (nanny does). The only thing going on with papa was a history of kidney stones. Possibly important to note, one of papa's biggest symptoms was diarrhea. Really bad belly. As well as all of the more common symptoms. I don't mind answering questions that may help others. I have only one question Simple, how are you doing? Ask Alice when she's 10ft tall This is a battle for the future of civilization.
