While I believe The Christ existed, I do not believe the bible. It was written by Chewies. (think Hollywood 2000 years ago) The Chewies held themselves out as righteous for killing a so-called blasphemer and wrote a fantastical story about physically rising from the dead figuring no one would believe it. They twisted the real story to suit their purposes.

I think The Christ message, and The Christ Himself, was even more stunning, spiritual and deeper than we can ever know.

Either way the original purpose of Easter (Ostara) is indeed pagan, but does not take away from the message of The Christ. All is reborn and a second chance of "getting it right".
