Still days out, SPC will possibly go High risk with this.
 Quoting: Little Peep

That's my thinking, too. When they pop a moderate risk a few days out, chances are it'll be upgraded in a small area. Keep your eyes peeled for a PDS watch.
 Quoting: Too Dark Park™ Two

Yeah. I have seen the NWS upgrade their severe weather portions over the years over my area from Slight to all the way to Severe/Extreme. Usually within a twenty four hour span. The Severe and Extreme portions being rare, but has been happening more often not just here in North Texas, but over huge swaths of Tornado Alley.
 Quoting: darkwolf007

If they don't do it tomorrow by midday, it'll be Sunday morning. Ye Gods... IDK what the CV shut down is like in these states, but as far as the churches, I hope to God they're empty and people are paying attention to the skies...
 Quoting: Too Dark Park™ Two

I would crack a joke about paying attention to the skies, but I remember a story about a west Oklahoma township. It was summer or spring, I forgot which. Church just got done releasing for the day when many of the churchgoers were talking to each other in the parking lot that the western sky was abnormally dark. People shrugged that off and went their merry ways. Less than an hour later a dust storm got kicked off, but too much of one.

People began to go outside wondering what was the ruckus was about. Turned out the sky very rapidly darkened. Not many people saw the tornado, but one guy got into his truck driving up and down the main road screaming at people that a tornado was imminent. People got the message and immediately headed for their various tornado shelters. The guy managed to save alot of people. Just about the only fatalities were people who never got the word that a tornado was imminent.

They have a slight risk in my area I'm just south of lower Ohio Valley. Something I have noticed over the years when things get cranking down south it steals the moisture and the energy more often than not from anything severe in our area.

We'll see how this plays out!

Yeah. I have come to know over the years as the Illuminati plays God with their geoengineering of the Earth BS any of these weather forecasts typically can be way worse to way less worse than these weather authorities ever tell us. If you are sensitive to energies you can usually feel it and can be much more accurate than said weather authorities.

From what I've seen, that's pretty much a guarantee. This is the most serious threat the South has seen since 4/27/11. If you lived through that hellish day, you know what I'm talking about.
 Quoting: Southern Deplorable

I know some years back, Southern Deplorable, for two or so Springs in a row a series of evil winds would blow through here in North Texas. Just on top of my town or a County or two to our east a line of severe storms would begin to develop. Not much would happen for us weather wise beyond seeing such beautiful severe weather rapidly move to the East. Usually by morning much of the South especially Deep South would be hit by a "wall of huge tornadoes". Many towns literally blown off the face of the Earth and many cities decimated. The MSM rarely reported on that stuff. What little they did report belittled every victim in rather disparaging fashions.
 Quoting: darkwolf007

STP is showing the highest numbers in north and west Alabama (as well as some spots in MS and TN.)

If you do chase, please be aware this isn't going to be the typical outbreak. This is the greatest threat this area has seen since THAT day.

thumbs

Also as of this message the NOAA's national radar site shows some severe weather rapidly developing in West Texas. That stuff should be here tomorrow morning maybe within about twelve hours with how slow those severe storms were moving. By here, I mean North Texas.

"While the conditional risk of all severe hazards will be quite high
if supercells develop, uncertainty remains regarding how convection
will evolve from the morning into the afternoon. Any remnant outflow
related to early convection will determine the northern extent of
the higher-end tornado potential, and some guidance suggests the
potential for elevated convection within a midlevel moist plume
across the warm sector during the afternoon, which could either
dampen the severe potential, or evolve into surface-based convection
with a substantial severe threat. Given these factors, there is too
much uncertainty to upgrade the ongoing outlook at this time
.

Evolution into more of QLCS is suggested by most guidance by Sunday
evening, which would pose an increasing threat of widespread
damaging winds and a few tornadoes across much of AL into
western/central GA through the overnight hours. Higher wind
probabilities may be needed in subsequent outlooks if confidence in
this scenario grows. "

No. There is a batch of storms coming in from the southwest currently from Central Texas to North Texas. [link to radar.weather.gov (secure)] . I have seen major storm predictions fizzle out for the rest of the day by early morning storms over the years. This may cause the rest of the day storms to fizzle out for all I know. I am able to see the cloud tops in the southwest as of this post.

Yup and they have a slight risk of severe all the way up to the lower Ohio Valley! Being a tornado survivor years ago I highly suggest thank OP for posting this and pay attention to what the weather folks/NWS are saying!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78287156

I survived an F1 last October while stuck on my front porch. I learned a lot:

1) It's impossible to open your front door with 100 mph winds blowing a certain way.

2) An empty garbage can is capable of inflicting a total of $5000 worth of damage to 3 cars in 5 seconds.

3) Trampolines should be banned unless they're anchored by at least 2000 lbs of concrete.

That is one heck of a life experience, man. Hopefully you managed to have your car insurance provider fix the damages to those three vehicles easily enough. As for the trampoline bit... yeah... There are many YouTube video clips of trampolines literally flying high into the sky during high winds with remarkable ease.
Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker.

A time is coming when men will go mad,
and when they see someone who is not mad,
they will attack him, saying,
'You are mad; you are not like us."
