WTF?!? Street “cleaners” going by 3x before 10am, never seen before in neighborhood! WEIRD

Around 7PM I saw a street sweeper and a white SUV with a yellow dome light going South down a busy North/South major road in Eastern Suffolk count, Long Island.

I have never seen sweepers on this road before until today

Just now 9:45pm they were back going North sweeping the other side going North

I appreciate your input, and really hope this was just water.

With the bizarre state of the world and being told to stay in my house, I find it more odd than normal that all of the sudden our very, very clean street has a street cleaner spraying for the first time in 10 years.

I posted it on Nextdoor, and none of the people in the area who have responded can remember a street cleaner on any of the streets other than main thoroughfares. Again, I think it’s just worth being aware of and questioning.

As I said, though, I do appreciate page you weighing in!

I really wish I would have done that before it dried. If it comes through again I’m going to do that, and see if I can stop the guy to see what he says about it.

Not related but equally strange and maybe disturbing.

In the 90's I was living in Brussels, Belgium. On the pavement of a road with high traffic there was a trashbag with a really foul smell coming out, like something rotting. It was a few weeks after a little girl that had disappeared had been found murdered, hidden in someone's home. So I reported this through the normal phone line. Later that evening I got a visit from a little black guy (1.60 m at most) in what looked like a police outfit but I had never seen before on a cop (he wasn't in civil, it was some sort of uniform, and the cap on his head was not what you would expect on cops, it was like a military cadet sort of thing). he told me not to worry, it was nothing (IIRC he said it was a dead cat).

I didn't know what to think about this but forgot about it. Now I think that guy was no cop at all.

What if they were spraying your streets with....the Corona Virus?

This is bizarre. I’ve NEVER seen one of these go down our street (quiet culdesac), landscapers and HOA keep the street clean.

Now all the sudden, this guy has passed our home 6 times back and forth (3 trips) before 10am... and it’s leaving some sort of liquid because the pavement is dark after it passes.

What liquid do these street cleaners use? And seriously, in the Seattle area? With the amount of rain we get, is some water mixture necessary?

Thought it’s worth posting, as it is NOT normal. In 10 years of living here, I’ve never seen one on the private neighborhood streets, only the main roads.

Reminds me of the uptick of city/county vans and trucks as discussed on the other thread. I think we all need to post abnormal things like this we see, as they start to add up when you take them all into consideration.

Is this the US version of the Chinese teams walking around spraying an unknown fog into the streets to combat the coronavirus? Haven't seen anything in my neck of the woods (Central TX), but WA has been much harder hit than we have here.
