Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78123652 Fever? cough? trouble breathing? It was showing symptoms dry cough. Not shitting you. So are 3 other Tigers and 3 Lions. It can apparently infect several different felines. House cats Tigers Lions. Hopefully not raccoons because we'll never get rid of the shit if they get it and it spreads in the wild. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78583626 United States 04/05/2020 09:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NEW YORK (AP) — A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for the new coronavirus, in what is believed to be the first known infection in an animal in the U.S. or a tiger anywhere, federal officials and the zoo said Sunday. Quoting: SilverSurfer The 4-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia — and six other tigers and lions that have also fallen ill — are believed to have been infected by a zoo employee who wasn't yet showing symptoms, the zoo said. The first animal started showing symptoms March 27, and all are doing well and expected to recover, said the zoo, which has been closed to the public since March 16 amid the surging coronavirus outbreak in New York. The test result stunned zoo officials: “I couldn't believe it,” director Jim Breheny said. But he hopes the finding can contribute to the global fight against the virus that causes COVID-19 [link to news.yahoo.com (secure)] Is this the first ever novel transfer BACK to animal? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 77440639 United States 04/05/2020 09:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’ve kept my my mouth shut and haven’t discussed this with a soul, but if you some digging, way back in the beginning before this was a ‘thing’ back in China there were rumors of mass pet murder mandated by the government. Before it hit the US. It was more then my heart or soul could bare, so I pretended in my mind it wasn’t true. There are other things about this virus to painful to bring up but it can all be found in the first threads when Wuhan was heating up. I believe it’s all too devastating so they are uncovering one thing at a time. They have to know the truth here. It’s too awful, so let’s just stay happily oblivious. |

But boy, if you decide to dig the the first week or so of posts when they were shutting down and boarding people in and killing their pets, you’ll unravel some horrifying stuff. Nothings been proven, time will tell, but I believe we are not being told the truth whatsoever about this disgusting little infection. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77222866 Do you often come into close contact with squirrels? Are squirrels sneezing and coughing on you frequently? The scarier implications are for dog and cat owners, as people are normally in close proximity to such animals. |
