I think fear is bull-shit. I am in self quarantine mode, at my bug out location, to protect my family. I may have been exposed. No big deal.

I thought this was a thread about breakfast. I love eggs, grits and bacon, or biscuits and tomato gravy. Of course food comes after sex. That is the best part of "stay home".
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Just hear me out.. We are told that China holds the loans for the USA to the tune of some 20+trillion.

This crippling of our economy and the world's economy was brought about directly from China, via a deadly disease that was either intentionally released, was a normal occurrence from nature or something similar.

Now, THEY own this economic downturn period. Perhaps the world will tell the Chinese to wipe the books, reset and lets start anew...

Thx for this post, Wolf. I was comforted last night listening to my new neighbors shooting off their shotguns and pistols, grilling out, small bonfire by the pond and playing their Latino music on high volume. They shut down their party by 11pm and I was amazed no deputy rolled up on them.

They effectively flipping the Bird at all this BS.

Then as I gathered few items to take back to senior citizen, I grabbed a burger, parked in empty parking lot to eat in peace. I was tickled to witness about 20 vehicles and trucks roll up, folks getting out to decorate their cars with banners, posters of Happy Birthday to some kid. Apparently it was decided to throw a parade for the kid since we're on lockdown.

We are living the beginning of Dickens novel...'It was the best of times. It was the worst of times...'

I have hope, faith and belief our story will end on a higher note.

Re: The Breakfast of GLP Champions: Musings of an Old-timer
An unexpected consequence of being confined under stay-at-home mandates is that we do a lot more of something we don't normally have the time in our busy lives to do ... think. We do so with more resolve and clarity. We study; we research; we postulate.

Most of us GLP aficionados come here for news headlines, insightful commentary, and esoteric discussions. Moreover, we occasionally enjoy our engaged perusals with a scrumptious plate of savory doom.

Sometimes, it's served with a full highball glass of refined fear. Some merely sip this intoxicating ale while others quaff the tasty beverage with vigor.

Lately, here just like in the analog world, we're being served a plentiful buffet of fresh doom and a variety of tempting aromatic fears to wash it down.

Indeed, TPTB are making decisions that deeply impact all of us. Right now though, I'm still trying retain hope that this ever-worsening ordeal will abate long before the water starts to boil.

Otherwise, there might be a Rebellion of the Frogs.

I'm an old-timer to GLP. But, I'm not a young man either.

I have watched far too many videos of local law enforcement attempting to control group gatherings. Never once have I seen an officer with PPE.
What happens when local law enforcement begins to get sick?

I expect to see an increase in crime and social unrest

I've had gut suspicions about Dr. Fauci for some time now.

Also, just a few days before Trump was inaugurated, Fauci gave a speech at the Georgetown University Medical Center in which he proclaimed that a "surprise outbreak" would occur during the Trump administration.

Was the probability really that much of a certainty?

Or, is he an incredibly gifted psychic?

Or ... did he know what was coming from nefarious insider sources?
