NY Cuomo Gov is one SMF

This should scare everyone... Centralization is the dream of all power drunk, out of control governments. My belief is that the counties should stand in unison against his ‘executive order’ to commandeer vital medical equipment and supplies.
If New York City was being consumed by a massive and quickly spreading fire, would we allow the state to declare our upstate firefighting equipment as ‘surplus’ and grab it to be stored or staged in NYC and potentially ‘deployed’ as they see fit? Would we accept the justification from the Governor that, “we have a fire, you don’t and you don’t need it right now!”? Would we feel better about the situation because he promised to replace or reimburse us if something happened to our fire equipment?
I will tell you one thing that he has promised, he has promised to move infected individuals around the state based on health care need, demand or overload. That is the equivalent of taking burning structures or timbers from your community and distributing that material to other communities that would potentially start new fires in new areas. In the meantime you have diminished their ability to fight those fires.
Pure insanity. However, we have come to expect nothing less from NYS government under his administration.
