I agree that a shelter is not the place for building long-term romantic relationships, but it is extremely biased to suggest that EVERY person in a shelter has somehow f*cked up somewhere in their life.

I ended up in one for a short period due to a very, very dirty divorce lawyer. I was able to get on my feet relatively quickly but I met many, many people who were also not addicts, criminals or shelter hoppers.

From what I can tell, all it takes is to have a very toxic family of origin. Most people can rely on family in a time of dire need. Some of us can't. For myself, it was hard moving from helping to develop community outreach programs to actually being in need. I'm strong. I survived. Yet, I don't think stumbling blocks serve any function unless we somehow learn and grow from them.

I wish you well and hope you are able to keep up the outside work while it's still allowed.

Under my bunk. This isnt a shelter like most places you can't just come in every night if you feel like it. You want to be here. And there is some fucking freeloaders here and it makes me sick. They sit here everyday, dont look for work, dont ask for the side jobs eat great. Just riding out the system as long as they can!!..joker is snoring next to me right now, was here when I came in last year, here when I left in January and here now!!! Bitches about having to do chores too...scum..not even a junkie, just wants a free ride.

Hi op, I camp on the outskirts of Denver in Aurora. I bus into Denver every day to stock shelves and the only people out are homeless and police. Not much seems to be going on.

The only people riding the bus are homeless types and they're just getting into fights over drugs like always. Things seem normal, just less people.

What's funny is when I'm stocking shelves people with masks come by and thank me for my hard work. Like I'm some kind of hero. Lol, I'm just trying to survive and feed myself like always, but hey maybe some thanks are due.

Waynesville. Next to Asheville. Asheville is very very bad. I wanted to kill myself when I ended up homeless for the 1st Time 5 years ago and stayed 1 night in Asheville. The hippies and junkies took over Asheville, they can't keep up.

We have a local paper here and I troll the shit out of it on Facebook ( omg, he has a Facebook) the locals are always bashing the homeless as they should but then they bash the shelter, so I light them up. But since trump daddy came on tv the 11th I have been predicting every single thing for 3 weeks straight ( thanks to my 11 years on glp) I'm not trolling them, I'm spreading info they dont care to hear.
