These hospital ships are epsteining the rich and powerful. The big wigs will have it announced they have COVID-19 to the media when they do not, then they are brought to the ship as just some random person, the real SHTF and the ship sales but filled to the brim with the elite who did not get the virus. I like how much OP bought into the news interpretation of this. Anyone who says no way the train would ever make it there OP just says BS im always right (like a douche). When you look at pictures and video of the aftermath you can see it had 0% chance to hit the ship.

So the real and better question to ask is why did the media make up this story?

OP, I owe you some slack, prosecutors do seem to be accusing the guy of deliberately trying to hit the ship.

However, if one looks at a map, the track end where he derailed isn't even pointing in the direction of the ship.

Even if he had gotten up enough speed to go more than 30m once he derailed, he wasn't pointing the right direction. Therefore impossible to hit the ship.
