The Good Side of Self-Isolation
Is there any silver lining to being self-isolated and/or working from home? Let's count the ways...

1) I can stay in my pajamas all day long.

We have even got rid of the car.

No need for it.

Saves a lot of money.

No wifi-radiation for the kids in school, because we keep them home.

Re: The Good Side of Self-Isolation
Most peoples' houses (except mine) are probably cleaner than they've ever been! I've been working from home and then working in the yard and my vacuum broke, so mine doesn't meet the clean criteria. But it will by the end of this coming weekend.

I just read today where experts are saying we need to disinfect our homes daily. How is this important unless we are going out and mingling with others?

It gives you time to finish all those crafts and other projects you started two years ago and they've been pushed to the back of the closet ever since.

Come on - we all know you have some needlepoint, a craft necklace, a sewing project, tile to lay in the basement bath, etc. stashed someplace!

Re: The Good Side of Self-Isolation
I've been in self-isolation for 10 days now and love it!

My two 30 year old daughters helped me clean the fridge, closets. Laundry is up to date. House is starting to look amazing!

It is so quiet, I am waking up and it's like 1pm and it doesn't feel like it.

Whole neighborhhod must be like that, because now I see a lot less people going out to buy food than the first days, dogs must be napping too, they don't bark as usual.

We are playing cards, console games, board games, it's fun.

Everyone living in the warmer climates will have beautiful and manicured lawns this year. There is no excuse for an overgrown yard until the lawnmower gas runs out. LOL!

As a natural blonde (very blonde), I'm frequently accused of dying my hair. It's actually very annoying. I wish my hair were red...much more alluring I think.

The bad side of self isolation.

Old people are alone in their homes. Families are split up and not having human contact anymore. Stress and depression sets in.

But as long as you get your lazy days, that's all that matters.

Smh.

Oh well, at least it is easier for all those rich Hollywood stars to get their planes into town for the Super Bowl. That seems to be a huge problem - all the private planes and no place for them. I heard yesterday that all the metro area airports are filled up and they are looking at the ones a couple of hours away.
