After watching trump and chris martenson, here's what I think the plan is

Everyone is saying 'flatten the curve' that makes sense in lowering chances that hospitals are overrun, sure.

When trump and health officials at the recent press conference said that they could see restricted travel for some parts of the country, I was thinking, 'wth, we need to lock everyone down to ensure the healthy stay healthy. Don't wait till the healthy become sick then lock them down"

But after watching chris mortenson's video he mentioned the approach of other countries to either do massive shut downs or let the virus burn through the population.

I think the plan for the US is to systematically allow the virus to burn through population one region at a time in order to get herd immunity in a matter of months and not years. So I expect each area to get hard just in their respective time.

If we did total lockdown now, it would save lives this year but over the next few years of dealings with this it would be a sustained hit on our economy and medical system. By having many people catch it in the next 8 weeks, there is a better chance that the impact next fall and spring would be minimal.

This is also why they changed the laws to allow doctors to be able to practice medicine across state lines.

Rolling regional crisis until we reach here immunity. Hopefully sooner than later
