We have a group on the Band app. I posted how my work was recommending not traveling and put a link. They started attacking me, telling me how there was 99 % chance of living and how terrible I was for pulling my daughter out. Then the owner of the gym starts making fun of me. She even posted how like 12 people have died of coronavirus in the us and how Jeffrey dahmer ate more people than that. They dont give two shits about me. After having spoken of what a great Christian organization this was...if they were Christian they would care about others. They can take the $1500 and choke in it.

Listen to the Presidents message tonight, he ,may give you the tools to file a suit against these folks.

By LAW they are required to ensure the safety of their members in an organized function.

I signed a contract, so they will sue me for the money. They are sue-ers.

OP, you are a MOM, endowed with special powers of instinct. Please don’t ignore or downplay your gut. DO NOT GO. My daughter was a gymnast, level 8. At the time is was very very important, but looking back, it really wasn’t. It’s definitely not worth your lives. Do your MOM job, do it and I bet others follow.

I work in Sevierville and everything seems quite normal, except for no toilet paper on the shelves at the Walmart. I know high school baseball is still on around here, my boy is on one of the teams.

All that being said, i do think its ridiculous that the people in charge don't seem to be considering that there has been a pandemic declaration made. I dont blame you for not wanting to go.

Yes, I am a great mom! Thank you! I am protecting my child, family and community from the virus to the best of my abilities. However, unless everyone stops being selfish and stops going everywhere this will continue to spread. I have been pressuring my boss from almost the very beginning to start letting people work from home, distancing ourselves. At first he and the others ignored me, but I didn't quit. I kept ON AND ON until they finally started taking action. Had I had my preference I would have been working from home weeks ago, but I can only do what I can do. However, although I am not at the top of my organization, I did not let that quiet my voice. I also sent an email to the Alabama Coronavirus Taskforce, and I plan to send to all my state representatives tomorrow. I will not sit idly by while people put our communities in danger, no matter how stupid they may think I am. I KNOW what I believe this is, and it is NOT natural and NOT the flu. Even the flu killed millions in the past, and this is MUCH, MUCH worse. We must stand up, not only behind our keyboards, but in our communities. We can make a difference.
