Same here. I went to our remote clinic Sunday and asked what the cost was when finished. $75 if no insurance involved, if they sent it in to insurance the charge would be more. Paid with my HSA card and said don't send it in. Got a call the next day, they just wanted to make sure not to send it to my insurance, hoping for more $$$$.

Same thing at the pharmacy. $100 for anti-biotics using insurance. I told the pharmacist about my high deductible HSA and no co-pays. He got it down $25.

If the government gets involved they will pay the extreme price for all of it.
