It's fucking insane. Literally 150+ people died from the standard Flu today and no one gives a flying fuck. There is very literally no legs to stand on, when it comes to defending this fear mongering bullshit over COVID-19, which for all ANYONE knows, is complete bullshit.

Agreed. Even 9/11 was more believable than this, and yet somehow we're all supposed to suddenly believe that 3,000 nameless chinese people have died from a very specific pathogen? With literally zero evidence? Not a single person on this thread can counter that claim with a shred of legit proof. Yet the 3K number from China is the magic bullet the CDC needs to declare this thing a pandemic. For all anyone knows, this is just another bad flu outbreak, no different than previous years.

In regards to people in mass dying, I have to say that one would be an absolute and total fool to believe everything they watch on youtube. We have zero proof that the Chinese videos were ever real to begin with. Everyone is so on edge now, that literally anyone who drops dead on the street (which happens daily in America and beyond) is under the microscope and instantly assumed to be related to corona.

Right. So far 18,000 people in America have died from the regular flu this season. Worldwide as many as 650,000 die from the flu in any given year. So, 3000 people die from the Corona flu worldwide and the Media tells you it's the end of the world, and the sheeple believe it! It is sad people are so gullible.

CoVid-19 is a Novel(NEW) virus just getting started with a mortality rate of 4-5% "Official" and a real mortality rate much higher.
At Minimum you are 40 times more likely to die from CoVid-19 than flu. With true numbers closer to 200 times more lethal!
When CoVid-19 has saturated the USA there will be many Millions of Deaths as a result.

COVID's death rate is much higher than the flu. You are comparing it to the flu, something that is widely spread. Apples and oranges.

If COVID was as widespread as the flu, which is the entire point of the travel bans and such, you'd freak out over people falling like flies.

I calaculated it as 6.44% with yesterday's number. You have to do (deaths) / (deaths + recovered), not (deaths) / (total reported cases).

And that, to the idiotic nothingburgers, is what matters. Not flu deaths vs covid deaths, because flu is MUCH MORE widespread, believe me you don't want COVID to be as widespread.

We know the stats and are well informed about the flu. But we know almost nothing about the covid and how quickly it mutate. It's the fear of the unknown not the virus imo
