He said/she said cases are difficult to prove. Further investigation is required.

Just like Weinstein's case. Just because he targeted a young girl doesn't mean he's automatically guilty.

There needs to be an investigation, interview potential witnesses, check the background of the perp, look for other potential victims, look for a pattern of sexual behavior.

This perp likely did exactly what Tommy claimed he did. But just like with Weinstein an investigation has to occur, he can't be arrested on the spot based on the word of one individual.

Tommy unfortunately probably roughed the guy up and there were plenty of witnesses to that.

Cops have to follow evidence and procedure. They may investigate and recommend charges against the perp. Hopefully they do.
