I don’t vote in political elections, only civic ones, for example, who would get my endorsement for a seat on a Parish Council or for elections regarding recognised bodies.

I have never voted politically, I realised early on that it matters not who resides in a certain House & that democracy is an illusion to encourage the public to bicker & flag wave.

Big business controls government, always has, always will. Politicians are simply there to wind up the crowd so people think they actually have a say in what goes on.

If I am being totally honest, it’s also a fair amount of frustration, as a reasonably intelligent species we have the ability to be ‘collectively’ outstanding & that serves to create a better life, I get frustrated in the knowledge that we either do not use our intellect as a whole for more progressive means or actively use it in more destructive areas.

We have the tools, it’s simply lazy, surely we are better than that. I think it’s important to pass that along rather than apply the ‘I’m alright Jack’ attitude.

If I were to say...........Allowing yourself to be receptive to equal amounts of both sides of an argument (programming) enables you to be well equipped to form a cohesive opinion and instigate a basic ‘ethos’.

What they omitted was the fact that 20,000 police officers will be retiring over the next 5 years & that 20,000 will need to be recruited as per usual in order to retain current numbers.

Misdirection, clandestine measures to hide inadequacies & vulnerabilities.

People in general do not want choice, they prefer to be told what to do, far less effort in being told something & believing it to be true than to have to gather information & make an informed decision, ‘especially’ if that decision is against the grain.

Fear is a powerful tool, & fear of ‘ridicule’ even more so. We all like to ‘belong’.

There was an interesting consumer study conducted about 15 years ago regarding the few choices we had shopping many years ago vs the vast choice we have now.

The shopping experience previously was far less psychologically difficult & was more rewarding with the less choice available.

There are some really shit posts, bud. Doing forum moderation can easily turn into a full time unpaid job.
