Questions about what a worldwide shutdown will do

Could have gone end of spring or summer. March?

Would be alright sort of backpacking as it generally entails cold weather, with its own beauty.

If I planned a trip. I might book into somewhere like centre parks for outdoor sports like archery, zip wires etc. Then hire car and visit castles where you would pass vilages and pubs. Then even at 40 or even 50 ( maybe 60 )
Go to Brighton. Have a dance ( nothing too mental ) Some might even do shrooms or something the next day whilst sitting in a garden. Then sleep in a hotel. A city resturant. The train to Gatwick.

Maybe forget the shroom part and dancing but the rest could be good.

I say centre parks but dont even know what its about. Just see an advert with zip wires.

Forests though. Painballing in the rain. Quading. Visiting castles in the winter.

We may be able to bankrupt the "you know who's" if nobody is going to work and feeding those demons. This may be a blessing in disguise. We need to develope a virus that only targets those with large noses and release a bunch of infected merchants into Israel so we can save humanity.

I've always hated these companies that give out an award to employees who never miss work. I know the one guy that won one year had come in sick and caused others to miss work because he was a "come in or die trying" kind of guy. Does that need to be rewarded?

And my church last weekend gave an award to kids who had NEVER missed church school. I mean, what little kid has control over not getting sick? I thought that was just cruel and idiotic. So...yeah, these are the people that will come in anyway to kiss the boss's butt and spread the illness and the boss will STILL give him the employee of the year award!

You're right. Catching Coronavirus is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

My prediction is that there will be chaos, which will include an economic collapse.

Less chaos where people are sharing, kind-hearted and decent. More chaos where people are selfish and self-serving.

Food, water, safety, medicine, services and housing may all be issues. Government and banking may even be shut down, at least temporarily.

I'd suggest stocking up on some food and water, have some cash handy, and network with trusted family and friends.

I could stay here and catch it in Chinatown.

You're putting a lot of good people in a bad box. I know the stereotypes and I understand where they come from. Still, there are a lot of good people and a lot of bad people all over, regardless of race, religion, etc. No one I know personally has ever been placed in some super awesome club. I'm willing to bet you don't personally know any either. Keep that in mind.

If no one is working who is going to do the foreclosure? CDC workers in full protective gear?

A worldwide shutdown was all laid out in episode 1 of the walking dead.

You walk out of the hospital, everything is abandoned. Cars, buildings, gas stations, stores all abandoned and empty.

Well I made it to Heathrow and NO ONE is wearing masks.

I think in a national crisis there could be hardship exceptions. If not, expect evictions and foreclosures to start in the city.

If you live out in rural areas, they have to find you first. Some places you can't even see from the road, or find the road.

Then when you arrive, potential gun ownership by residents. Also for some of the older and less glamorous dwellings...what's there to gain?

There are places around here that have been on the market 6 yrs without one bite.

Rural people are fortunate for now, but city people could flood their areas.

Running just as fast as we can...

Been to Ireland, (beautiful) now heading to London tomorrow, and catch the flight home on Sunday. Fingers crossed we don't get stuck here.
