Weinstein found GUILTY of 2 counts sexual assault and 3rd degree rape, acquitted of more serious charges

Miramax mogul Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of third degree rape and two counts of sexual assault. A jury has acquitted him of the more serious charges of predatory sexual assault and first degree rape.

The jury’s decision to convict on two out of the five charges was delivered on Monday after five days of deliberation and spares him a conviction on charges which would have carried an automatic life sentence.
