My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean... And if I said I didn't plan for it to turn out this way I'd be lying... Because I was born to be the other woman. Who belonged to no one, who belonged to everyone. Who had nothing, who wanted everything, with a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn't even talk about it,and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled and dizzied me. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77846618 United States 02/21/2020 08:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Very dumb move by any Chinese to move to the USA to avoid this. It is coming very hard to the USA and the USA is entirely incapable of dealing with it. The citizens of the USA will never be able to quarantine peacefully like they did in China. Every major city will burn as the most vile humans on the planet inhabit the USA inner cities. The only chance the USA had was to immediately halt all international flights as soon as the virus was known. They couldn't even stop the Chinese from flying in from the same cities China would not let them travel from to other cities in China. The USA government sealed the deal...the USA is over in the very near future. Totally destroyed by its own citizens and government. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77852475 But we do have space. A rundown but functional house on 1/2 acre in some middling to poor place is not respected here. But that sort of thing isn't available in China. There are no spare 1/2 acres. And that's a good situation in which to ride out a viral infection. Count your blessings, baby before Code Enforcement. |

Quoting: Deplorable Azila_Again I put it on the market and within 24 hours I have an offer $1000 over asking price and all closing paid. I see the names on offer are Asian. That night my Asian (Chinese) neighbor calls to say it was her boss who put in the offer. She does fingernails. Anyway, she said in December they knew this virus was bad, and so her boss sent his adult children to Vietnam from China to avoid the virus. He began buying up homes here to get his family here ASAP. My realtor said huge uptake on asians in the buying market now. Noprobably to escape the comies |

My realtor said huge uptake on asians in the buying market now. Interesting post. I live near Los Angeles, in a very quiet neighborhood. I walk my two dogs twice a day and go on long walks, including through the neighborhoods in a town right near us which has lots of empty $5M+ homes owned by Chineses nationals. Over the last week, I have noticed on six separate occasions Chinese couples and/or a male alone walking the streets of our neighborhood (and the other neighborhoods) taking pictures of all the homes and (what piqued my interest initially)the streets signs and particularly the cross street signs. I noted it because it was odd for these neighborhoods, as I mostly just see the same people or neighbors walking on the street. In one instance a man who parked his seven series BMW went for a walk and took photos. Later on my walk, I saw the same man meet up with another Chinese man and then they both were picked up by an Uber - across the street from where his BMW was parked. Another elderly couple who were walking the neighborhood and taking photos waited in front of my home for an Uber pick up. I have walked these neighborhoods for years and I have never seen anything like this behavior in these neighborhoods. Maybe I am overthinking it, but to see this odd behavior on six occasions in one week given what's going on with China - I don't think so. That said, not sure what to make of it, but after seeing your post hopefully it is just the wealthier Chinese are looking to move. |
