Just an update.

I developed a fever and started feeling a lot worse. I had to find an old inhaler from an infection years ago just to breathe last night because I was so breathless after just doing dishes.
After my husband pleaded, I finally went to the dr office where he works (he got me a quick appointment).
They asked if I had traveled outside the United States and even just outside of the county. I told them about my Hawaii trip, forgot to mention I spent 3 days in Sacramento after. They didn’t ask much about airlines or airports, only asked if I went through San Francisco at all, which I didn’t.
I had to fill out a Coronavirus Patient Under Investigation Form.
I was released with antibiotics and the Dr didn’t say much to me except there’s no coronavirus cases in Hawaii so I should be fine.
I don’t know if my name is on any type of list now, if I’m still considered a “Patient Under Investigation,” or what.

Nurse here checking in with a couple of thoughts. The cough you are describing is concerning. A dry cough as opposed to a loose congested cough may indicate a lower lung infection as opposed to upper lung. This is a symptom and concern with Covid-19. The fact that you cough more in the shower indicates that the humidity is loosening up the congestion in the lower lungs and is your bodies way of trying to expel it.

You can do many things to improve your condition with natural anti-virals talked about here as well as nebulized or inhaled food grade H202 and or sodium bicarb (please research this carefully and understand the percentage and small amount needed). Humidity several times a day - steam up the bathroom and sit in there. If you have someone that can perform gentle chest percussion with cupped hands on your lower lungs that will help loosen the phlegm so you can expectorate it. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)]

If you start getting any worse get to the ER. Don't expect the medical professionals to be on top of this. Your own actions right now may make a tremendous difference.
