I got a notice from the school (UNCC) that there are two possible cases being monitored in students.

"A NinerNotice was sent out to UNC Charlotte students Wednesday, saying the two affected students both live off-campus and are both receiving medical treatment from their residences.
The health department does not believe the cases are related, according to the NinerNotice."
What I find more disturbing or concerning is TB isn't a really common thing, or at least you don't hear much about it. Most cases I've heard if came from people traveling from other countries)
There were people being monitored for Ncov a while back, but nothing else was ever said about it that I could find. Nothing about testing negative or positive, whether they got sicker or not, etc. Same for Rowan country which covers part of the Charlotte area.
Granted, one is viral and one is bacterial, but they both affect the lungs and seem to spread the same way.
Makes me wonder what the health department is not saying.
Both illnesses that effect the lungs.
Isolating at home.
Possible Ncov patients were suspected and isolating at home.
One is bacterial
One is viral.
Coughing, breathing problems, fever, etc.
(Granted there are a few overlapping symptoms, and they are symptoms of so many illnesses)
"Traveling or living in certain areas
The risk of contracting tuberculosis is higher for people who live in or travel to areas that have high rates of tuberculosis and drug-resistant tuberculosis, including:
Africa
Eastern Europe
ASIA
Russia
Latin America
Caribbean Islands"
Also it can have an incubation period of 2-12 weeks, but some articles I've found say not that long.
It looks like asymptomatic tb is latent and not contagious.
My spidey senses aren't liking this TB story. Maybe I've spent too much time on GLP following Ncov. But some of the parallels aren't sitting right with me. Also, what I've found on line about TB is all from the CDC and WHO, and that's not reassuring for obvious reasons.
