Could it be that when parents spanked their kids, they actually learned about pain and the repercussions of getting hurt and so we were just a little more careful (even though kids have always taken chances). i mean we did stupid stuff, but not one stupid game after another.

I know that sounds stupid, but there is really something wrong with young people that seem to need to inflict all this pain on each other. They don't seem to be aware of the consequences. Maybe they have all been so protected with safety and no pain that they are learning in a very weird way now that they are older.

Actually I think you are right, doesn't sound stupid. I was spanked or punished growing up and as much as I cried or stomped, I understood repercussions of actions afterwards. And yes we did allot of dumb shit growing up but had a bit more understanding of right and wrong up and down.

Kids nowadays have no fear of consequence or punishment. It's because their parents are fucking soft and the schools take their fucking precious emotions over their wellbeing and future(indoctrination). Discipline teaches a hard lesson. I'm sure allot of parents and teachers are scared shitless to even speak to the kids the wrong way for fear of jail or getting fired.. And for what?
