I recommend joining NVIC. Their advocacy portal emails updates on encroaching legislation in specific states and action items. [link to nvicadvocacy.org (secure)]

For example, Colorado:

OPPOSE SB 163 Restricting Vaccine Exemptions and Instituting State Sponsored Discrimination

Dear Colorado NVIC Advocacy Members,

Your immediate action is needed to help stop a bad bill being heard next Wednesday, February 19th by the Senate Health and Human Services Committee after adjournment in the Old Supreme Court Room.

SB 163, sponsored by Senators Gonzales and Priola and Representative Mullica, makes several drastic, unnecessary, intrusive, burdensome and discriminatory changes, as well as additions to the way vaccine exemptions and policy are handled in the State of Colorado. See below for complete details on what SB 163 does.

ACTION NEEDED:

Contact your Colorado State Senator and Representative and ask them to oppose SB 163.
The best way to communicate with your legislators is a face to face meeting, if possible. Make an appointment with your senator first, then your representative. If a meeting is not possible, ask for a phone call and also send an email with your concerns.

If you do not know who your Colorado state legislators are, login to the NVIC Advocacy Portal at [link to NVICAdvocacy.org.] Click on “Check What is Happening in Your State” on the home page or “My State” on the STATE TEAMS Tab. Your personal state legislators are listed on the right side of the page. You can also find your legislators by clicking here.

Contact Governor Polis here, and ask him to oppose SB 163 and make it clear that Colorado does not support coercion, harassment and discrimination of a minority of families who choose not to follow the one-size-fits-all vaccine schedule. [link to www.colorado.gov (secure)]
Contact members of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee and ask them to OPPOSE SB 163. See contact information below.
Plan to attend the hearing to oppose SB 163 on Wednesday, February 19th in Denver at the Colorado State Capitol’s Old Supreme Court Room on the 2nd floor, north side after adjournment...

SB 163 is unnecessary, burdensome, discriminatory and gives too much authority to unelected boards and departments. The bill violates the privacy of families who object to the one-size-fits-all federally recommended childhood vaccine schedule for medical, religious or personal beliefs. There is no public health crisis in Colorado justifying support of this bill.
