The over/under is 10.5 rounds, per that particular linked source. That's a tough one also to call. Myself, I had Fury winning their first bout by one point. The best way to know, would be to be in Vegas and go TALK to key (insider) people THIS WEEK. the longtime track-record pros. Then you'll increase the odds of 'knowing'. :fireplace: "Remember when we used to treat colds and flu with chicken soup, saltwater gargles and warm tea instead of Communism?" |

We all want to see HEART more than anything when we see warriors battle. Because heart is really the essential human-metaphor for life in general. Cheers and props to the man or woman that doesn't give up and rises to beat the count .. against seeming insurmountable odds and dire adversity. In ALL aspects of life itself. (OP) User ID: 73110241 United States 02/16/2020 01:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Analyzing Wilder's style .. my impression is that he's not particularly disciplined, defensive-wise, not in a true boxing sense. Nothing like an EARLY Mike Tyson or a Floyd Mayweather or a Lennox Lewis (or a Pernell Whitaker .. or a Marvin Hagler or a Ray Leonard). Wilder's greatest strength is his patience and that resolve to wait ... until his opponent relaxes (too much) and lowers his guard - and hands - one too many times. Then it's that waiting opportunistic right hand with a long long reach to the chin and ... lights out. Big highly-skilled guys like Lennox Lewis would drive Wilder crazy, as the fight wore on. Like a WELL-conditioned Holyfield did to a defensively-weak Mike Tyson on 2 separate occasions. And I think Foreman's chin would survive Wilder's bombs. Wilder vs a YOUNG jab-master Larry Holmes would sure be interesting. So how would a young (Mike) Tyson do against Wilder? That would depend on the date - being with Cus D'Amato or w/o D'Amato.. Tyson would have to corner Wilder though, in order to deliver the goods.. One of those two would definitely be knocked out in that theoretical bout. Then we have Tyson Fury. Who looks (and dances) somewhat unorthodox, but fights smart, and does use his own particular defense (in spite of the knockdown by Wilder). Fury isn't a remarkable hitter, but utilizes those other skills and smarts, plus alot of heart and willpower to achieve his in-ring success. ----------------------------------------------------------- [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Is Wilder in the All-Time Top Five, power-wise amongst heavies? Statistically, yes. Based on %s and KOs within 3 rounds. I say "no", based on actual/real power and his degree of 'competition'. As Wilder hits (KOs) guys when they least expect it, in all rounds. Definitely there in the Top Twelve or Top Twenty Heavyweights (of alltime). He's the most opportunistic Heavyweight I think I have seen since a young Mike Tyson. Similar to a stalking/searching Julian Jackson (hard-hitting middleweight). No (power) comparison to Earnie Shavers, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Holyfield, Donovan 'Razzor' Ruddock - all in their PRIME.. And Wilder's chin is nothing special, either. SocialEnigma User ID: 77835141 Canada 02/16/2020 02:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wilder. The fights typically end after he identifies a hole in his opponents defense his power is a real fight changer. I like Fury, he has a lot of heart and mental toughness but sometimes you meet a guy who has your number. I think Wilder found his number late in the last fight and remembered it since. It'll take a few rounds but it'll happen. Fury in his back once again. |

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)] as for the australian, the 6-7 guy looked like a wet drink of water.ozi is an Olympian, you'd think he can box. i shoulda rolled denny @ daytona into wilder.kicking myself. i did get up to 288$ on an all up,but lost 3rd leg.if i dont hit on thursday, may bet wilder in the first 3 rounds. #444 bill L |

(OP) User ID: 75166989 United States 02/19/2020 11:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's Hype and Prediction Week in Las Vegas. And Trump shows up on Friday.. Boxer predictions: All I'm saying right now is .. if it goes 12, Fury wins. If it's an under 12 result, Wilder wins.. Can Fury actually knock Wilder out? We all know Wilder can perhaps knock Fury down a few times... And what is each man going to do differently or do the same this time around ... Lessons learned?? I'm leaning toward the under on this one, btw..
