His, and other, stations have been told no unnecessary arrests are to be made at this time and if police become sick, the National Guard will be moving in. Quoting: Littlebit Too Similar report from a LEO friend of mine in MA. Usually, at least in the suburbs, when there's a medical call the police respond first and go in the house because they can get on scene much faster and guide the medics to the right house/apartment, and render first aid to a limited point if urgent. But now they are on ABC protocol... ambulance before cruiser that is. And yeah they're not busting balls over inspection stickers anymore, only getting involved in serious shit. This is somewhat coming down from the Chief/Sergeants and somewhat their own discretion. Haven't heard anything from him about the National Guard, and this guy would call me the second he heard anything like that. |

As public hospitals has been saturated private hospitals has been forced to open their structures for covid patiences. about 60% of people who contract the virus goes to hospital. first cases of drop death people reported. usually they are cases with only mild symptoms. User ID: 78615008 Czechia 03/14/2020 12:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Law enforcement agencies across the nation (USA) are being told to pull back from making contact in an effort to keep the officers healthy and prevent them from spreading the virus to others. Quoting: Close_with&destroy When coupling this action with the effects of the so called "Ferguson effect", we will start to see increased crimes by the predators in our society because they can move about with less concern of apprehension. I have seen posts telling people to place signs on their homes that there are infected inside because this will keep criminals away. Wrong. It will most likely work for the people that are scavenging, if it comes to that, or those that are afraid of taking the infection back to loved ones. It wont work for the predatory and/or drug seekers that are craving that next fix and need something to trade for their drug of choice. These types of people are going to be emboldened as this goes on. While not very intelligent, it has been my experience that they are cunning and devious. We have already seen reports that criminals are dressing in protective coveralls, posing as health workers and getting access to peoples homes. Once inside they then rob the victims. I have seen these types of people put a great deal of thought and effort into their schemes, so much that if they had done so with a legitimate business, they would have made a fortune and not have to worry about arrest. These people don't care about their own children, parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. They steal from them, hell, murder them, in normal times. Don't think a sign will keep them away. Increase your vigilance from now on. Be very suspicious of anyone coming to your home, if you aren't 100% positive of who they are, call the police. If they are legitimate, they will remain, if not, they will leave prior to the police arriving. Be wary of people scoping out your home or neighborhood. They do their homework, they look for what they want to take and come back later to get it, when you're gone or asleep. The roving gangs of bandits that have to be met with force will probably come later, if things get bad enough. For the near future, it will be the ones that are using this opportunity to play on peoples fears. Sorry this was so long. Hope it helps someone out there. Be safe everyone. TRUE STORY - MAKE OF IT WHAT YOU WILL I manage an apartment community, mostly low-income working folks. My maintenance man had a conversation with one of our residents yesterday, a 30-ish African American man who works from home as a customer service rep. My guy casually mentioned the virus and the panic shopping. The resident told him, in no uncertain terms, his plan for survival was to gather up ten or twelve of his "crew," head to a white neighborhood, and take over a big house that they would use as a fortress of sorts. We spent an hour FaceTiming last night discussing the situation and comparing some things I have seen here with what she knows. Quoting: Riff-Raff 1: R0 is higher than we've been led to believe. 2: Number of actual cases in the US is astronomically higher than the confirmed cases we are being told about. Indiana has 16 confirmed cases right now. The actual figure is closer to 60,000. 3: Mortality rate is higher than we've been led to believe. 4: US health care system is already overwhelmed nationwide. Hospitals near her are closed to all except life-threatening issues. Rush Hospital in Chicago, which was specifically designed and built to deal with a pandemic crisis is overwhelmed. 5: West and East coasts are 10 days behind Italy. Interior of US is 10 days behind the coasts. 6: Expect complete nationwide lockdown like Italy within 3 to 4 weeks. This lockdown will likely last much longer than most people think. 7: Constant disinfection of hands and surfaces is key to remaining healthy during outbreak. 8: Mail & parcels: Virus can live for up to 72 hours on envelopes and boxes if your carrier is infected. Open and dump contents on known clean surface, then immediately dispose of envelopes and boxes in garbage bags as bio-hazardous material. Immediately wash hands when finished. 9: Elderly people in your family need to be self-isolated NOW. No church functions. Cancel all non-critical doctor appointments. No travel outside of the house whatsoever. Other family members going in and out of a house where an elderly person is staying need to observe strict decon protocols when entering the house. 10: I am a healthy adult under 60 with no underlying health issues. I asked her straight out when I should make the decision to stop going to the office and work from home. She said no later than this next week. After that, we need to self-quarantine. 11: The possibility of a second wave hitting the world this fall is likely, but not certain. 12: Best-case scenario for a vaccine to beat this virus is 12 to 18 months. 13: Expect massive exponential increase in confirmed cases this next week nationwide. 14: Nobody should be traveling by plane right now for ANY reason. A lot of this is stuff we have already known or suspected, but she has contacts in local, state, and federal government. She is a reliable source of information and has had no problem in the past telling me if I am paranoid and/or overreacting to something. He said that they are preparing to mobilize the national guard. Preparing to dispatch them across the US along with military. Next they will call in 1st responders. He said they are preparing to announce a nationwide 1 week quarantine for all citizens. All businesses closed. Everyone at home. They were told to pack and be prepared for up to 30 days deployment which he said means they may extend the quarantine up to 30 days. He told me to notify our family members and have them stock up and be prepared. They will announce this as soon as they have troops in place to help prevent looters and rioters... he said he got the call last night and was told to pack and be prepared for the call today with his dispatch orders. Continued.... within 48 to 72 Hours the president will evoke what is called the Stafford act. Just got off the phone with high ranking military friends in DC who just got out of a two hour briefing. The president will order a two week mandatory quarantine for the nation. Stock up on whatever you need to make sure you have a two week supply of everything. Please forward to your network. … OP is right . My family got a group text yesterday from my first cousin who also works for Homeland for almost a decade now. He is based in Washington DC. This is what he sent us. “Wish I could tell you about this call I'm on right now with the White House; never have heard anything like this since I started with FEMA in 2011. We're stepping up quickly and coordinating well! Be safe! It’s coming in a few days.” … Heard the too week shutdown from a friend of a friend with military connection (hexagon - 1). I think they are going to have to go longer. More like 30 days initial with 30 days extended. Thread: Uncle Intel Covid 19 - national quarantine coming Nationwide mandatory quarantine in the next 48 - 72 hours highly probable! This is in the for what it's worth department ..... My son's girlfriend's father works in the Pentagon and he just told her that..." in the next 48 to 78 hours we are going to have across the board mandatory 2 to 3 week quarantine similar to what is in Spain and Italy." Just passing this along. He said this is not for sure but probably what is going to happen. … Confirmed. High level contact in the VA indicated within the next 24-48 hours the White House will instate a 2 week intrastate quarantine. Only first responders will be allowed to travel between states. Quarantine most likely will be extended to 4-8 weeks or longer, depending on how long it takes to get things under control. Stay safe and stock up on essentials (food, meds, gas, etc.) as it is going to be a bumpy ride for the next few weeks. … I very rarely post but ex wife is in the financial sector and she called to say this exact same thing. The ex isn’t one to worry, but said from what she’s hearing from the higher ups that it’s probably going to be within the next 48 hours. She asked me the other day what I was hearing from the “website” I’m always looking at. She seemed genuinely worried. Our daughter is with me and the wife and I are set here she didn’t like my response when asked if I would meet her half way to let our daughter stay with her. She didn’t like my response but you can’t stay fed on essential oils. … I'll be Damned! I just heard back from my old Army buddy. He works in DC. went civilian DOD after Army. I reached out as people keep saying full quarantine and I just didn't think so. He told me via VM from late last night that 2 factions are fighting. One wants 30 day shutdown for the entire country. The other wants to shut things down but not a total quarantine. It was a VM so I couldn't ask questions. Quoting: RomanianGuy The virologist is member of the government's crisis team. Our version of US's Fauci I suppose. He suggests the world will never be the same as this thing becomes seasonal. I can only hope he's wrong, doesn't have full data, or something changes for the better in the meantime. Otherwise, we're in a permanent lockdown loop. Journalist: So when do you expect this to die down? Dr: 4 months. J: Is that the optimistic or pessimist estimate? Dr: The realistic to borderline optimistic one. J: So will we get to go on holiday this summer? Dr: No, because the second wave will come in autumn. J: Oh, so we'll barely get out of this one and the second one will hit us? Dr: Yes. You won't go on holiday but you should go to the countryside, plant some vegetables, crops. [So he suggest we'll be busy preparing for what is to come, no time for holidays and being merry]. Later, the journalist asked him how are we supposed to handle these waves. Dr: We will shutdown/lockdown everything for 6 weeks then restart. Shutdown/lockdown for 6 weeks, then restart. Journalist: Can we do that?! Dr: Yes, because the recession and all that won't matter anymore. It'll all be about saving lives. Not yet. The TV station that broadcast it is posting the shows on youtube, but I only see shows from last week. There's probably a delay of several days between it airs and they post the recording. First, she is trained in blood pathology, but her whole department has been shifted to Coronavirus response. 1/6 They’re dangerously short on supplies. Her entire floor, roughly 30 people, was given two boxes of masks for a total of 100. The hospital has told them they need to make them last for at least two weeks. That’s roughly 3.33 masks per health worker 2/6 On top of this, the hospital has changed their policy on workers exposed to patients with the virus. Normally, workers exposed would be sent home for quarantine. Now, they are to continue coming to work and just wear a mask 3/6 The reason for not quarantining the medical staff and making them work with a mask instead is because if they quarantined all that were exposed to Coronavirus, they would not have any doctors or nurses left to treat patients 4/6 It’s shocking.
