Pop corn can keep noisy crabby kids quiet for a bit. Make a game out of how many times they can chew one piece at a time. |

Dancing is fun and good for them. Masking tape on the floor or carpet for hopscotch. Making forts out of chairs and blankets keeps them active. Let them play in the bath tub with washable soap colors and bubbles. Jumping on the bed always fun. The more activity they have the better for them and your stress. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78434683 United States 02/07/2020 12:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Think ahead. Have a good healthy stock of things on hand to bake from scratch. Good ways to get garlic and ginger in the diet. The kids love making cut out cookies and crackers. You can make a healthy whole grain garlic cracker dough and let them roll out and make all kinds of shapes. Ginger bread cookies are good for them and fun to make. Let them peel potatoes, make pancakes and help in the kitchen. |

Isolation and prepping for 5 months is a normal way of life for me. I am pretty good at getting my fresh produce to last as long as possible. Celery will keep growing and last for months if you take a thin slice off the bottom of the head and place in a containers with an inch of water, cover with the vent bag in came in and put in the frig. Onions, garlic, apples, potatoes and hard produce like beets, winter squashes, carrots, rutabaga etc will last a long time if you wrap individually in news paper, kept in a cool dry place, do not let freeze. Store separately in boxes and hang onions and garlic in pantyhose. Cabbage will last a long time and keep growing if you trim a thin slice off the ends and set in a shallow dish with a little water and cover with a cloth in the frig or wrap in newspaper in cool dry place. Purchase green bananas wrap in paper and keep very cool to last a long time, same with avocados and kiwi. Wrap oranges, grapefruit and melons in news paper and keep separate in cool dark area. Keep separate means not more than one thing in each box to avoid cross gassing. Stuff like fresh green and red peppers, cilantro etc, chop up and put in freezer bags Fresh milk freezes just fine in the container in come in with no change in the quality, important for making kefer and yogurt. Cheese freezes fine, just a little crumbly. Sprouting seeds are my fresh raw greens. Thin slice inexpensive roasts and make your own jerky by marinating and drying on low heat hung on the oven racks. Make lots of stews and soups with beans, lentils, split peas, black eye peas, barley, butter beans, pastas, potato, make chowders and cream soups with your can powdered milks. Deserts, candy and snacks from scratch next LOL |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78434683 United States 02/07/2020 05:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I like to keep a good stock of bottled lemon juice, so many uses, lemon water for health, teas and other drinks. Lemon deserts, external uses, long list. Cocoa powder, for comfort food, Hot cocoa, fudge, cookies, cakes, I like it in my yogurt. Brown sugar, cheaper to make your own with a little molasses. Good for boring hot breakfast oatmeal, cooked serials like rice, corn meal mush, cream of wheat and baked goods. Do not forget baking powder, soda and yeast. Vinegar, cooking oils, salt, spices, hot sauce, lots of flour and sugar. Extra vitamins. You will not have enough freezer room to store bread, make your own and save your freezer space for meat and milk. Prepared foods are a waste of money and space. Stick to the basic ingredients you can make many things with, not more expensive packaged pre seasoned, pre made items. A box of old fashioned oatmeal and cream of wheat will cost a lot less and go a lot further than a box of cheerios. Protect all your food from mice.......... Get mouse bait. - |

Nice little heat kick from a couple drops, and kills off anything you come down with, fast! I combined my rounds with GSE and Silver + Vit-C & D3 - I was back up on my feet in no time from a recent illness. Quoting: Sandpoint Idaho I bought a surplus of it just recently. Very good to have on hand! What is P73? They never thought she would lose. Now they all lose. |

Use peroxide or bleach solution to clean them daily. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78434683 Good idea. And buy salt. You can rinse your mouth with warm salt water. It's great for gargling, too. Salt water is converted to a kind of bleach in the body. [link to www.dailymail.co.uk (secure)] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 48204750 Czechia 02/08/2020 11:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great suggestions -BUT- If in the UK (for example) you need to base yourself the Peak District, Brecon Beacons or Scottish highlands, doesn’t matter what preps you are doing if you’re not there you are not safe. People are one dimensional prepping for solely the virus. This is just one component of the grander issue. You should know Nibiru is coming and the UK as a whole is going to be mostly underwater very soon. You will be prevented to getting to said areas at a near point in the future, Wuhan style. So get there and then prep is basically the advice. This applies to all members wherever your geographic location. Holland for example a no go zone entirely, as is Belgium, Indonesia, Japan. US members need to be in or around the Arkansas ozarks, no chance of survival whatsoever east of the Mississippi and the west coast. Pay attention! |
