I am a van dweller. Am staying under this bridge and hope waves do not topple over the car. There are other homeless (living in cars) here, too. My Honda van weighs 4000 lbs and I filled tank to half full and bought ice for additional weight. It is going to be a long night. I have two old dogs with me so am hoping there is no thunder or lightning which scares Henry.

Go to hell. I worked all day.

We park on a fishing pier which is open 24/7. We park after dark and leave before dawn.

We are all in our 60s. Retired or semiretired. Lady parked next to me had a motel room but they jacked up the price for the snowbirds so she is living in her van until the occupants leave. Another 65 yr old is parked behind me in a blue Toyota and is on SS. I don’t know her story but she lost her housekeeping job and has a large car payment. I get my first SS check in 4 weeks and that along with my job will get me into a rental if I can find one.

Winds were pretty gusty here on the southwest coast today too, but its calmed down now.

Blessings Bunnyswan, I am on west central coast FL and have nothing yet, but been hearing all day a storm is coming.... we shall see....can tell you birds were acting weird the other day though, big white ones hanging in tree all bunched together.

I’d try to prepare Henry as best you can. In the Tampa burbs (east) it’s getting windy now. Still gusty- but some decent little howlers. Stay safe!! Can you play some classical music for your pup, it helps my anxious one. We have Just Relax herbal calming chews for lightning & fireworks, works well.
