Operation "Bye Bye Round-eye" - What if the Chicoms have bigger plans for the Coronavirus

Experts on China always say they think multiple steps ahead of the west and plan for the long term. So let's play out a scenario. What if this is the mild version of the coronavirus that China developed in a lab. They release this into their own population and a very large percentage of their population gets the disease. Only a small percentage and mostly older people die from it. Western countries implement measures and stop most of the spread in their populations. Now almost all of the Chinese have an immunity to this strain of the coronavirus. Some time down the road China releases a much more deadly version of the same strain of the coronavirus. Their people are immune and most other countries in the world are crippled by the havoc the virus causes. China would be in an excellent position to take advantage of that situation. Think smallpox and the Native Americans.

I am only speculating here but this is the brave new world we are entering now that scientists can engineer viruses in the lab. This is the future of warfare and I hope our experts are thinking out of the box to protect us from something like this.
