And this was regarding a specific type of pneumonia associated with hospitalization. It's bacterial, not a virus... And is passsed from patient to patient in the hospital. The theory is that the reduced acid creates a better environment for bacteria to take hold and enter the lungs. Once again this is a bacteria that is most commonly found in hospitals. So I stick to my earlier info. |
