A synthetic defective interfering SARS-CoV-2

"Viruses thrive by exploiting the cells they infect, but in order to replicate and infect other cells they must produce viral proteins. As a result, viruses are also susceptible to exploitation by defective versions of themselves that do not produce such proteins. A defective viral genome with deletions in protein-coding genes could still replicate in cells coinfected with full-length viruses. Such a defective genome could even replicate faster due to its shorter size, interfering with the replication of the virus. We have created a synthetic defective interfering version of SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing the Covid-19 pandemic, assembling parts of the viral genome that do not code for any functional protein but enable the genome to be replicated and packaged. This synthetic defective genome replicates three times faster than SARS-CoV-2 in coinfected cells, and interferes with it, reducing the viral load of infected cells by half in 24 hours. The synthetic genome is transmitted as efficiently as the full-length genome, suggesting the location of the putative packaging signal of SARS-CoV-2. A version of such a synthetic construct could be used as a self-promoting antiviral therapy: by enabling replication of the synthetic genome, the virus would promote its own demise."

With a chance (a small one), September will still be a quiet month. Sure there will be protests, many and massive, some violent, but largely, September will be "fine".

They did not rise agaisnt those who took away their jobs and their labour rights. They did not rise against those who took away their freedom of speech. No, people did not rebel for all you have said, and more. And no, people will not rebel because vaccine passports...but do you understand that ALL those moments in time, when people did not rebel, are ADDING UP tension?

No, they will not. They will ADD more restrictions. They will also REMOVE the "negative test" and the "antibody test" from the vaccine passports, and ONLY leave the vaccine on the passport.


They will ban access to work, school and all shopping, without the vaccine passport, which will only have VACCINATION STATUS AND A NEGATIVE TEST. Yes, this is the last and ultimate form of the vaccine passport : VACCINATION + NEGATIVE TEST.


Will people rebel when this will happen? Will they rebel before?


I do not know, but I believe that at some point, very soon in time, the breaking point will be reached, and ALL THOSE THINGS THAT WE DIDN'T REBEL AGAINST, will fuel people's anger.

I agree with you when you write that there will probably not be a revolution in Italy, I don't agree with you about novax.
I live in a small village, we know each other almost everyone, people talk about what happens.
If I once had doubts now I am sure: I will NEVER take this vaccine.
I have been vaccinated many times, I think vaccines are useful but NOT THIS.
To many people like me no matter the ban in bar, cinemas and restaurants, but if there will be further prohibitions or the mandatory vaccine, even if the novax is a minority. I don't know what could happen.
