The Virginia Gun Control Laws ARE NOT Tyranny

There's a lot of rhetoric from guntards about how the Virginia gun control laws are "tyranny" and the work of a "tyrant" governor/legislature, and so on.

If you believe this, you need a lesson in what tyranny is. Tyranny is when people are under the rule of a government that has no limits on its power and no accountability to the people it governs. That isn't the case here.

The gun control laws are the product of a legitimate, legal, constitutional legislative process according to the federal and Virginia constitutions, enacted by a legislature and governor who were democratically elected in a legitimate and fair election. The voters chose to elect the Democrats, fully aware of what they were voting for.

Law enforcement doesn't get to pick and choose which laws it enforces. Sheriffs who refuse to enforce these laws are obstructing the state and need to be removed from office. Citizens who do not obey these laws aren't heroes, they're criminals who need to face the consequences of their actions.
