Is this behaving like a man made bio weapon ?
So,if this is designed to kill, live outside, infect easily no initial symptoms, we seem to be fucked.

Evolution has had billions of years to make its own bioweapons, we act like we are in charge but we are always at the whims of the micro organisms so to speak, we dont need a bioweapon to fuck us, nature is perfectly capable of doing that, we have been long overdue a disease on the scale of the spannish flu imo.

Is this a bioweapon, i dont know, if i made a bioweapon a highly contagious common cold like virus with a fatality rate not too high to facilitate spread and a highly infectious non symptomatic phase would be my go too. It does seem convenient tbh, but evolution always finds a niche, as i said, we have been long naturally overdue something like this.

People keep stating that the fatality rate of this virus is for example 3.9% because 39/1000 cases have died,

I feel a lot of what is killing us and has been killing us is infections. Especially hard to identify infections that create a lot of symptoms that misdirect where we're looking.

Viruses too, obviously being able to leave their 'mark' on you, is a whole nother thing.

My question to you is, how can they have already possibly identified a source, when it takes a couple weeks to even 'grow' it in a lab and that's saying they've isolated the strain. They're also claiming a 'vaccine' is being developed now?

Like wtf? This thing is THAT bad that they are rushing to make a fucking VACCINE. Which generally is a massively expensive program initially. I'm assuming it'll be rushed to market because they're certainly not going to take the time or waste the funds to test it, right?

All of this is either conflated or way worse then we're being told.

viruses are funny, they are not technically alive, they are literally just a bit of protein with genetic material inside, corona viruses dont even have dna, they have a dna percursor called rna which is a set of genetic instructions that cellular aparatus called ribosomes turn into dna, it involves a set of enzymes called everse transcriptase, viruses hijack our cells and use them against us, its pretty fucked.

When the virus spreads there will be too many people that are sick for hospitals and staff to handle. Its at this point when the fatality rate starts to climb!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78135746

Oh Baloney!
The fatality rate starts to climb when
people GO to the hospital!
That's where all the sick people are.

You want to get sick?

Go to any hospital, walk the halls,
take deep breaths, handle all the door knobs.

Well for a start, you are not a microbiologist because that is wrong.

The basic reproduction number, R0, of an infection is the number of cases one case generates on average over the course of its infectious period, in an otherwise uninfected population. So if R0=3.8, then for each infected person, we can expect another 3.8 people to become infected.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78387625

I never said that was the r0 what the hell are you talking about. Im clearing up the fatality rate which keeps getting stated as low because in 1000s of cases there have only been a few dozen deaths, what people are not taking into account is that those thousands of people still have to fully recover.

People keep stating that the fatality rate of this virus is for example 3.9% because 39/1000 cases have died, thats not how it works at all. 950+ of those cases still have to recover.

If a virus infects 10 people and within a week 1 person dies, it doesnt mean the virus has a fatality rate of 10%, it just means currently 10% have died, the other 9 still have to fully recover.

Isn't it true that colidol nano silver can kill any virus , bacteria fungus?

yes but its hard to get all the virus in the body in contact with the silver molecule. An iv would be better odds, oral some help but not great.

The stats:

1354 sick

41 died

38 recovered

What are we supposed to glean from the stats with more people dying that recovering???

Yes, I took biology so I did find that interesting about viruses but ,to my point, this seems like a lab experiment that either got out or has been released. If it is natural, then I wouldn't have the level of concern I have now. Mankind came up with the nuclear bomb ,he's so smart. Now we have nuke subs running around the globe and have for sixty years. Worst case for me is that this is a designed bio weapon.

Thats an interesting point, there has been research in using copper, silver and some elemental surfaces to stop the spread of microbes, i know for a fact that silver and copper door handles proved to be much better for preventing the spread of bacteria, as for viruses im unsure.

Something about silver/copper etc would have to disrupt the protein attachment structure or the dna/rna of viruses for it to be effective, its worth looking into i suspect.

They're showing nearly 1400 confirmed cases.

But only 41 dead and only 38 recovered.

Does this mean that about 1300 people are still in the middle of it and it's too earl to know anything about the mortality rate?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78216637

not 100% no, but its tons better than nothing and your open airways, its already been covered by others in threads.

the virus is much smaller in size than the filter can filter out but generally speaking virons will be attached to what are called fomites, which will be water droplets and such spreading by coughs sneezing, hands to door handles etc.

practice of asceptic technique and covering your eyes, mouth and not touching your face will help massively especially if you dont shake hands, touch objects such as surfaces.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78344784

Would it help to spray colloidal silver or diluted oregano oil onto the outside of the mask? Something similar to help kill virus?
