UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Hello GLP friends Quoting: monkeyflower I began hospice care at home a few days ago. I am requesting prayers please so I can remain strong for my family and others I am close to. If anyone can give a bit of emotional support please, it is always very welcome as well. If anyone would like, I can write about life with hospice as well, in this thread. Also, one amazing wonderful friend here on GLP has been by my side on this journey for a while now. Much love and many hugs to that friend. Thank you! (You know who you are) ~monkeyflower Watch This to understand the choice you have right now [link to m.youtube.com (secure)] |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I'll always remember the time caring for my mom in home care hospice. We shared memories from her past that I never knew of her as a young girl. These help me even now 5 years later. Never ever feel that you are a burden to your loved ones. You gave them your memories and life essence while you are here. That is your only job besides your peace in your heart. May God Bless and hold you and your family in his hands during this time. Not one of us knows the time in or out of hospice. Much love to you! |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Praying for you in our household. In Christ's holy name. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." |

In a very real sense your thoughts and character will be live on here in GLP. I am a lowly AC, but I've I've come to know and recognize certain names, yours among them. Thank you for being kind throughout the years and for your humor. As you've shared that you have sepsis, the end will come soon. May you be comfortable. May your family find peace. May you stand upon the shore of a beautiful river and look out over green pastures with family and friends that have gone before. We will all join you soon enough. Peace. |

I had sepsis in the past, not recently. I have an autoimmune disease and some of my organs are failing. People with sepsis, at least to my knowledge are far too ill to type. Sepsis left me with really bad short term memory issues. I can't read books for pleasure any more as I can't recall names, locations and other details.(for example) As far as my Doctors are concerned, my current bad health is NOT related to sepsis. Please everyone, learn the symptoms of sepsis. It is horrific. Sepsis kills, and it can kill quickly. Quickly as in hours. If just wanted to clear that issue up. I'll be writing more about my day later. Thank you again everyone...I am blown away by how much loving support I have found here More soon . |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs Yes - it is funny how our little GLP family likes to share (honest) health tips! No conspiracy 2 that - and yes - we genuinely care. I think many of us - (on here) here have been around the block a few times - and we have surrendered to the cards life has dealt us. I for one - am working on my "gratitude." I hope today is a good day - and I too am sending you healing thoughts and prayers. I've been through 2 hospice cases with my grandparents- and I know hospice nurses and CLSW and therapists. It is a wonderful organization - and I have nothing but positive experiences with hospice. I've had one friend out on hospice - and he GOT BETTER! That was 5 years ago - and he has never felt better. He said it was a nice rest - (and it allowed his body to heal). He had Stage 4 Cancer (intestinal) - and it is completely gone. Last Edited by ruser on 01/21/2020 04:13 PM ruser |

UPDATE: Our Beloved Monkey Flower Has Passed - 7 April 2020 - ljs I've had sepsis - it almost killed me. Here is "a" cure (or at least you will feel much much better) In the AM - take about 1 tablespoon of raw sauerkraut. This is a "pre" biotic re-start. Wait about one hour - THEN have your coffee (or whatever it is you like to eat and drink in AM). Throughout the day - drink lots and lots of water. Orange juice mixed with water is good also. Try to eat a little yogurt or sour cream. I like buttermilk! In the PM (before bed) take 600 mg of Magnesium. This will protect your intestinal system. In about one week you will notice a huge improvement. All of these treatments - are to make you feel better- you will actually absorb more of your pain relieving medication - (if you need that) - it will WORK better.
