I'm sure I'm not alone in not understanding the seveity here. These seem like common, everyday issues, not a lot of money nor insurmountable issues. Surely there was more in play here?

I owe a lot more, my rent is higher... life has it's challenges but in many respects has never been better.

How insensitive of you to say such a thing - taking your life is no act of cowardice - it takes guts to go through with such a final act.

Pain causes people to do many things - suicide being one of them - layers of pain.

You have no idea - clinical depression is bad enough - loneliness is an unbearable thing for many - an unhappy marriage where all seems hopeless, there's three things that may be for some 'too much' where they can't see to see through 'hopelessness'.

Only in "hell" if after suicide, he still can't let go of whatever issue he was facing that led to suicide or if he regrets it and his spirit keeps chasing the family he left to say sorry. In other word, if he becomes earthbound spirit instead of leaving through the gate of light, then it's a kinda hell because of keeping repeating the turmoil of the suicide event.

It's the suicide brother who needs prayer and his family to accept and let him go however painful it is. His family "forgiving" him for his decision is sort of prayer that allows him to sort of let go and enter the gate of light.
