IDK how you classify Elf's music but it features the immeasurable talent of Ronnie James Dio before he found Metal with Rainbow and Sabbath.

I will say 2 things:

I saw Lou Reed Mid 80s and he had the best hardest rocking band I've ever seen.

Today as we speak, Anders Osborne is going along in relative obscurity and for the last 12 years he has released Great Album after Great Album. If this had been the 1970s he would have been a huge act.

Nothing fake about him. Just good hard American Rock, Blues, jazz, country.
