Help dear AC. I am wondering what you mean by that exactly. What feels "over?" And simply believing me, whatever I say, would be the wrong path to take. These questions are intended to provoke / inspire / expand YOU, and you are the one who may benefit, or not.

If the roots of the problems can be recognized, we can turn everything around. But if we stubbornly say that we have got nothing to do with it all, there is no hope. I find both of those to be an excellent response to a group of people who respond to legitimate complaints with 'it is what it is.' So there's nothing I can do. That's the way life is.

I think I understand what you mean, dear IF YOU INSIST. (Forgive me if this is not your way of thinking ): there are certainly situations when one feels like there is nothing we can do, like we a re facing a brick wall. I faced a brick wall recently in fact, and was forced to take a big step backwards away from the wall, recognizing that this path is blocked at the moment, and that to bang my head against it will not be too profitable. The emphasis being on the words AT THE MOMENT. For if we try to go along that path later on, the wall may have crumbled in the meantime. Or we may have found fulfillment on a completely different path, and we might never even contemplate traveling the old path again.

The danger comes, I think, when one fails to recognize that all situations are fluid ( one can certainly think that there is nothing one can do for a certain period) and that there are variables, as one's own perception or the perception and behaviors of others change as we confront each new experience.

The danger would be to cling to the idea that there is nothing one can do, because that keeps us in a place of limitation. Maybe resignation is appropriate at certain times in our lives, but if it dominates, and if it prevents us from going into important action which strengthens our path and increases the joy of others and ourselves, then resignation is very debilitating.

Eh, I don't believe you. This same particular engineered roadblock has happened too many times before and for the same reason. I can pretty much assume malevolence at this point.

This is not a question of "believing me" or not. It is a question of you examining your own experience and coming to your own conclusions. Deliberate evil doings are sometimes certainly in play. Divine timing is always in play, whether recognized or not. Perhaps this is what you find difficult to accept? That things happen in their own time, and not before, in order to ultimately benefit us, even if it looks like the complete opposite. Much can be understood with hindsight as we look back to various stages of our lives, seeing obstacles here and there, and how they forced us to take a different path.

The question for you seems to be: if you are constantly faced with "malevolence" and a certain engineered roadblock, are you going to focus exclusively on that, and how dreadful it is, or are you going to choose a new route?

Perhaps it is the universe's intention that I quit. Funny that any other job where co-workers sabotaged my progress and randomly assigned tasks so I would be denied any feeling of accomplishment, it would not be radical to suggest that was a sign I ought to quit. Where certain people are involved, however, divinity is invoked as a form of special pleading that I should have to put up with them in particular. Sounds fishy, to say the least. I needed a break from working for ingrates anyway. Maybe it will be permanent.

It sounds like you have been going through a lot, IF YOU INSIST. Maybe it is indeed time for a period of reorientation, especially if your skills are not being put to good use, or if progress is being prevented. Of course I cannot fully see into your situation. One clue I can perhaps go by is your name: "If you insist" is something we might say if forced to do something we actually don't want to do, but we are coerced into doing it. A name like I CHOOSE might serve you better. Anyway, all the best on your journey.

Having relatives who only want to use me and enlist other people in order to bully me into it.

Then, IF YOU INSIST, what was the behavioral strategy that you developed as a child in order to deal with that, ie. what was your reaction (e.g.. defiance, confrontation, avoiding the topic, succumbing to pressure, rebellion etc etc). The next step would be to consider whether you still demonstrate this "reaction" in your behaviour today, which was appropriate / understandable as a child. Does it still dominate your present behaviour in your dealings with other people generally? If so, does it have a negative result? If so, how longer so you want to allow old behavioral patterns to dominate your life?

It isn't behavioral patterns that are dominating my life, but my family. They aren't going to change, and they aren't going to leave me alone, so the strategy that hurts both of us is the way to go.
